People can play around things like metal. Its why we have magma magic, Ileg, and sparrow thrust/pgale or any ranged move at all. Still donât understand why people are complaining with how you could just punish endlag.
Hell, even basiclordvant pre full release could go toe to toe with most builds in the game.

i want to make a custom but my issue is i cant fundamentally make a magic: the songs have already been sung, as theres no solid way i can be like âoh this is the magic ive createdâ
i have to understand what forms magic can take, what interactions it has, affinites, and everything else. do i make it overpowered to fit my own headcannon? or do i make it reasonable to fit ingame? all questions no answers

I think you can do something! You donât necessarily have to go into as much detail as I did here. Even something as simple as just typing it out would make a lot of people happy, even me.

Magic essentially (according to AO lore) takes form of Chaos energy given shape and properties of objects/materials such as earth or light. However, unless theyâre conjured by a Curse user (e.g. Wotan creating Keraxeâs navy out of the Wood Curse), they will eventually disappear (even more onset if the user isnât concentrating on keeping the thing there)
Preferably no. Not many people will want to find edgy magic #510241092 that just ends up being a fire/lightning magic subvariant with some random other magic mixed in. Make it somewhat unique (or what you think is unique enough), and then just call it a day and see what people suggest for improvements.
one of my lost magics is kyanite, and its mohs scale depends if its perpendicular or parallel (this exists only in a few minerals.). so i thought of someway implementing that into the lost magic, of it having two ways to use it
im not sure if itd work gameplay wise
the idea i have of one is making it a spirit mutation, but with a passive that both affects the user and target
i also want to format the magic to use a special casting system but ehh im unsure..

Gameplay wise perhaps it could have better clashes with other solid magics (like metal or crystal)?
As for the entire mohs scale depending on the angle, maybe itâs better to leave it out unless you have a decently fleshed out idea on how to implement it
