bottorfli
for Wave iâm thinking a parasite like a lamprey or hagfish, alternatively thereâs also parasitic wasps. i donât rlly feel like doing cordyceps fungi si yeah
Alright, I have four ideas:
Wave Magic: Blue or Humpback whale, you can gues why my idea is that.
Reflector Magic: An Owl Butterfly, or Silver-Studded Blue Butterfly, because of the qualities theirt wings have.
Flare: A peacock, or any bird with very large and colourful wings or tail. Idea behind this is, that, because flare is more AOE focused, then such a bird could just flap its wings, or swing around its tail, and you get it from here.
And lastly, you could have Gravity Magic as one of the smaller Sauropods, and Pressure or Shatter magic as the largest one.
Also, I have a question: What is Dispelling Magic again? Like, for some reason quite a few Lost and âPrimordialâ magics were dropped as ideas, and are not in the Trello anymore, so I canât really find it.
(Edit: Thatâs one long of a reply. I am now waiting for us to start another debate about dinosaurs or animals in generalâŚ)
doesnât match the description, wave isnât aquatic itâs more like energy waves being sapped from the user
Wave Magic - Attack using strange blue energy that causes the targetâs magic energy to drain.
could you explain this to me a bit more?
i like it, may add (fits with the Fire Elementals all being flyers lol)
nah, i donât want duplicated. Pressure gonna be something that probably lives in the deep oceans under immense pressure (imo, Pressure should be Lost and Gravity should be Ancient but whatever, iâm not vetex lol)
basically Shatter by general mechanics and purpose in that is says âbetâ to weaker attacks
bet
Aight, in that case, again, either a Sperm or Blue Whale because of how strong the sounds they make are. And they really are quite strongâŚ
Ok, so, you know how one side of the Owl Butterflyâs wings are, well, like the face of an owl, while the other side is pretty and blue. Thatâs why. And, for the other one, just look at this picture of itâŚ
So majesticâŚ
Ok, in that case we keep Gravity Magic as a Sauropod, and maybe Shatter magic could be a very large mammal, such as a Rhino, an Elephant, or something a bit older, such as an Indricotherium, or a Megatherium. I know Shatter Magic is not on your list, but still⌠I think itâs a good idea.
Aight, the starting subject for todayâs debate will be Harpy and Philippine Eagles. Do you agree?
wouldnât that better apply them toward Sound? Also donât see how that works into the energy drainage thing hh
lol the art style theyâre presented in doesnât tend to incorporate markings unless they themselves glow or something (like the Fire Moth), but ehhhh i might go that glass butterfly if i make Diamond a hummingbird
i honestly donât know whatâs on the list anymore (the Trello is far more up to date bc itâs less pain to work with and update), but Shatterâs a Mantis Shrimp. Woolly Rhino and Mammoth are for Frostmetal and Blizzard respectively
Oh, ok, did not notice that.
It doesnât matter, I just wanted it to be a blue-ish sort of butterly for one side ofthe wings and the other one to be a morror lie glass, hence the first example of the Owl-Butterfly.
No, I think sound waves fit a whale better than just⌠sound. Also, what kind of animal would be fitting for energy drainage using sound?
not sure how i would incorporate both sides, or even the aspect of reflection, but yeah blue will be in there as part of the main color pallete
Wave doesnât specify itâs sound, rather itâs energy and what better sapper of energy than a literal parasite? iâve already made up my mind on that part, just not sure what parasite to use since tapeworms arenât the most interesting thing to draw
Have you done Phoenix already? Some type of bird or aerial creature would likely fit best.
yeye, @stukadive just suggested a Peacock, which i think fits rather well.
as for a Phoenix, well, Phoenix Magic is a Phoenix and so is Promethean Fire (but itâs like the Magma Dragon and Inferno Drakon type deal)
Would sperm whale (sound elemental) be the biggest of the lost elementals and if so how big is it compared to the regular elementals like the earth tortoise and lastly are all lost elemantals on the same scale of size as the regular elementals?
not by a long shot since we have Apophis and Bakunawa (creatures that eat the sun/moon), as well as Namazu (a giant earthquake-causing catfitsh) and a Titanosaur of atmosphereic heights
itâs just the size of a normal whale since theyâre already massive
just depends on the Elemental in question. the Flare Peacock, for example, is likely to be a lot larger than actual peacocks
Cool Iâll try to write some lore on sound whale with that size in mind
The Sound Whale comes from tales derived from the ancient history about a majestic whale bigger than any ship known to man. A peaceful creature it is and bellows and hums songs heard around the entire world, but when angered this behemoth lets out an outrageous, unstoppable sound so strong it cause hurricanes and tsunamis, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, and winds strong enough to destroy continents all around the world. They say that it was once angered and caused a Dark Age for the entire world as it was accompanied by a mysterious death plague (link with death primordial elemental?) after. !This is a quick rough draft and will probably need a bit of polishing!
would you like to be added to the trello?
poggers, tho while concepts of writing typically influence the drawing it is also heavily the other way around so iâll probably talk to you about the lore before publishing it once the piece is done ae
mind dming me your discord for ease of communication?
Oh eeee late response but yeah summary for sound whale should work as a possible placeholder until you or I polish it lol and Iâll dm my user
epic
why is this in game discussion
pertains to the gameâs concepts and stuff ig, idk the last one was and nobody cried about it
