Yes and no… Array is just “blast but delayed”. The idea is to have the orb work almost like a summon, in which the orb will not be launched towards the cursor, but rather fire various projectiles from it almost simultaneously.

The blast variant would have its projectiles slower than your average blast, to compensate for the volume of it.

All in all, the idea is for it to be a tool for applying pressure without being an objectively better version of anything else

mfw when a mage uses orb (im gonna hit them really fugging hard)

i cant hate on it, just pointing out the fact that its gonna make punishin mages easier if they use it (its basically a beacon that bombards with attacks and drains the users energy, meaning it has to be used supportively (i think))

I dont know of i worded it properly, but the idea is that it would charge passively for like, 10 sec, draining energy in the meantime. And then it’d discharge the accumulated energy in the form of either various blasts type spells or various explosion type spells.

The main selling point would be the ability to queue up a spell and be able to move while it’s firing.

The main drawback is that, although you can cast other spells while it’s charging, it adds to the energy drainage and cancels out the passive regeneration you get from awakening, as well as hitting zero energy would just void the orb, rendering your accumulated energy effectively wasted.

Its not the best spell but i think it would allow for a different playstyle.

On top of that, maybe it could even have an option in spell creation that defines whether the orb follows you around or stay in place, to allow for some strategic positioning
