Ao is pretty laggy and medal kind of makes the performance dip quite a bit. You guys know recording software that doesnt hit as hard as medal? thanks.
If you have a nvidia gpu use shadowplay or perhaps gamebar if that works for you

don’t use Medal, It’s way too monetized and the overall user experience has become progressively worse over the ~1 year I used it.
Like Random said, shadowplay is a great option if you got a nvidia gpu. It doesn’t have premium membership bullshittery and you can just clip as much as you want. It also has a bunch of other nice features such as an fps counter and temperature trackers
Only downside is that you’ll need to actually have a platform to upload clips to because most places like Discord (and the forum) have an upload size limit. I recommend using streamable or YouTube. Latter is discouraged because it will fuck over your clips if you have any copyrighted material (like music) in your clip.

Only good for when you don’t share your clips but at the same time you could just open your file folder and watch your clips from there
I don’t think I’ve tinkered around that option since all my clips are unlisted anyway but I’ll check it out
Either way if you’re trying to upload to YouTube just for the sake of having an external upload, don’t. Use streamable.

I just windows+alt+r and it works fine.
I use windows game bar, you can set it to clip with windows alt g or record with windows alt r

i still use medal cuz it does the job. like yeah premium is annoying (and jesus christ the price) but you never really need it, unless 720p isnt enough for you
like i could use shadowplay but then i need something else to edit and post the clip
Clipchamp is like built into windows I believe, I never really used it aside from just cutting the clips but it does the job. It adds no watermarks and you can still get a pretty high clip quality out of it
As for streamable links expiring, I’m not sure if it’s only for people who have no account but you can always just reupload if you need it lol
