I just read the TGR. Honestly I’m pretty pro for it. I never played arcane adventures (except for some clones but they have no playerbase basically). I’d like to play it once and I like the whole boats concept. However there’s something I’ve been thinking about.
How about the Magic types? Specifically Plasma and Fire. They both vaporate when they touch water. Which isn’t wrong but wouldn’t that make fighting sharks (or any other water enemy) way too hard? I think I found a possible solution.
Let’s say the first couple of levels your magic stays the same then after completing a certain pretty hard quest you unlock a way for your plasma/fire magic to continue underwater? Preferably focused magic inside some sort of protective orb which blocks the water from reaching your magic.
Also flying, a lot but I mean a lot of people would like to fly in-game. However Vetex said that if he were to implement that then it would make boats useless. How about you make some areas have ‘high density’ magic aura. Meaning you can’t form your magic properly and your ability to fly ceases. Which meaning you’ll probably fall into the sea and get attacked by sharks. This would make it easier to travel between islands you already completed and it wouldn’t take away the whole boat system.
it was just like this in AA, but melee weapons were pretty effective to kill sharks most of the time (some magic weapons worked underwater too) and i believe we are gonna have the same case in Arcane Odyssey
I hope the sharks are the only water enemies besides pirates, and good way to make players use boats, and maybe adapt their playstile to a boat-boat PvP sistem, without falling in water to avoid the enemy’s lightning sinergy.
As the combat isn’t underwater, I believe that isn’t a problem to make lightining, plasma and fire to obey the laws of fisics.
my point was that lightning isn’t going to be super op like most people think. Snow/ice might be funky though. If not for the permafreeze, then for the fact that they can probably glitch boats out of existence
