Was sitting at the computer playing AO the other day and started a new file. Was thinking about interesting new colours and thought to myself “Vetex should add a gamepass for new colour variations”. After writing down some ideas here we are.
What and Why?
My suggestion is to add a gamepass that allows people to select new, unique variations for their magic. Stuff like blue fire, green poison, etc. The gamepass cost would probably be 50-150 Robux, maybe more or less. As for why, I feel that this sort of thing fits exactly with Vetex’s philosophy on Gamepasses and what he would make. In addition, it’d be pretty simple to implement. Maybe to lure more people into buying it you could have the colours present on the magic select screen, but darkened and with a lock over them.
The Ideas
I tried to come up with at least 3 for every currently existing obtainable magic, although I want to get all magics up to at least 5 different variations.
Acid
Idea 1: Red Acid. The idea behind this was the Universal Indicator for the PH range, as high acidity is red.
Idea 2: Citric Acid. An Orange colour, reminiscent of, well oranges. Cuz like, y’know. Citric acid. Oranges. … Shush
Idea 3: Blue Acid. I ran out of ideas, thought eh blue works, and used that
Ash
Current Default would be renamed to Volcanic.
Idea 1: Char. A light grey, this is reminiscent of Ash left from wood.
Idea 2: Magma. The Ash would be coloured a deep dark orange, with black highlights.
Idea 3: Inferno. This kind of Ash would be black, similar to the current Default, but instead of red highlights, it would have blue highlights. No real inspiration, just fun colours.
Idea 4: Haze. Idk, I ran out of ideas. A dim yellow which has hints of brown and black.
Crystal Magic
Idea 1: Quartz. Self explanatory, a white variant.
Idea 2: Onyx. So what if we had Quartz, but a different monochrome colour
Idea 3: Alexandrite. The colour of this magic changes in waves.
(These 3 variants bring Crystal magic to 10 variants)
Earth Magic
Idea 1: Dust. An orange tone.
Idea 2: Granite. A reddish-brownish-pink, mixed with speckled white and black dots.
Idea 3: Mossy. Similar to stone, but now with random patches and patterns of green moss covering it.
Idea 3.5: Dwayne. Secret achievement allows someone to access this magic variant, which replaces the texture with random pictures of Dwayne Johnson
Explosion Magic
Default would be renamed to Nuclear.
Idea 1: Sparks. A bright yellow, maybe add bright embers and particles.
Idea 2: Fireworks. Random rainbow colours, perhaps streaks and such could be added.
Idea 3: Dark. Mostly black, but with harsh flashes of purple and a sickly pink.
Idea 4: Armageddon. A black main body, with an outline of glowing white.
Fire Magic
Default would be renamed to Burn
Idea 1: Goldblaze. The clue is in the name.
Idea 2: Witchflame. Like Goldblaze, but this time red.
Idea 3: Nightfire. The fire turns black and releases small white particles
Idea 4: Dragonfire. So y’know that one scene in ATLA where Zuko and Aang meet the dragons? Y’know the cool rainbow fire? That.
Glass Magic
Default would be renamed to Clear.
Idea 0.5: Mirror. So not really sure about this one, it’d probably be really complex and maybe not fun to fight. With this variation, Glass reflects images back. Y’know. Like a mirror.
Idea 1: Blue. The Glass is tinted blue
Idea 2: Green. The Glass is tinted green
Idea 3: Molten. The Glass resembles molten glass used in glassblowing. Prob just explosion mixed with glass appearance wise.
Idea 4: Tinted. The Glass is tinted black.
Idea 5: Red. The Glass is tinted red.
Idea 6: Yellow. The Glass is tinted yellow.
Idea 7: Purple. The Glass is tinted purple.
Idea 8: Pink. The Glass is tinted pink.
Idea 9: Orange. The Glass is tinted orange.
Idea 10: Warped. The Glass has the same colours as Alexandrite Crystal Magic, as explained earlier.
Ice Magic
Idea 1: Tidal. The Ice magic would be a deep bright blue, inspired from ice from the odd glacier.
Idea 2: Crimson. The Ice is red. Inspired by that one SCP
Idea 3: Glaze. The Ice becomes almost clear, except for a spiderweb of white miniscule cracks covering it and revealing its location
Light Magic
Idea 1: Eclipse. A pure white light.
Idea 2: Aurora. RaINbowS
Idea 3: Nuclear. A clear blue light, which may or may not have sound effects appropriate for Nuclear Fission.
Lightning Magic
Idea 1: White. What it says on the tin, inspired from real lightning.
Idea 2: Black. This’d be cool I don’t need to explain myself
Idea 3: Volcanic. A deep foreboding red, inspired by Volcanic Lightning, caused when a thunderstorm and an eruption love eachother very very much.
Magma Magic
Default would be named Volcanic
Idea 1: Superheated. Ik all magma is superheated, shush. This would ditch the rocky black, and instead be mainly red, though it transitions into orange and then into yellow.
Idea 2: Whorls. Similar to superheated one, but now with Whorls of black rock through it.
Idea 3: Sulfur. Look up Blue Lava. It’s a real thing.
Idea 4: Solar. It looks like the surface of the sun.
Metal Magic
Idea 1: Cobalt. Deep rich blue, literally just the colour cobalt with a metallic sheen.
Idea 2: Oxidised. It’s a turquoise colour, with hints of copper beneath it.
Idea 3: Bismuth. I am aware Bismuth is really a silvery-gray colour. I don’t care however. This variant gives Metal an iridescent colour scheme.
Plasma Magic
I’m making more than usual because Plasma deserves it.
Idea 1: Alpha. Like the others, but blue
Idea 2: Beta. Like the others, but yellow
Idea 3: Delta. Like the others but green
Idea 4: Supernova. Brilliant greens, blues and oranges. C’mon, you know how a Supernova looks.
Idea 5: Singularity. Black centre, orange rim that brightens as it gets closer to the centre. Literally just a black hole.
Poison Magic
Idea 1: Blight. Sickly Green.
Idea 2: Miasma. Blue. Idk why, just blue
Idea 3: Infection. Orange, gets brighter the closer it is to the centre. Any of ya’ll played Hollow Knight?
Sand Magic
Idea 1: Rust. Literally just Rust coloured, it ain’t hard.
Idea 2: Volcanic. Found on volcanic beaches, we got black sand.
Idea 3: Resort. White sand. I ran out of ideas don’t judge me
Shadow Magic
Default would be named Darkness
Idea 1: Evil. Black with a dim red glow & highlights
Idea 2: Eclipse. Same as above but with orange this time.
Idea 3: Eldritch. Black, with lines of random colours flowing through it, all dark and primarily purple and other cool colours, though warm colours such as red, yellow and orange occasionally appear.
Idea 4: Ethereal. Black, with blue highlights that start dark and get brighter before dissapearing. Don’t ask why these all begin with E, it just turned out that way.
Snow Magic
Default would be named Alpine.
Idea 1: Dirty. White, with great and brown mixed in.
Idea 2: Frozen. Blue, fades to white on the outside.
Idea 3: Pine. Similar to frozen but with Pine Green this time.
Idea 4: Sunset. Colours of Dusk. Idk with this one tbh, but snow is a very one-note thing colourswise, so oh well.
Water Magic
Idea 1: Ink. Pure black, reference to WOM’s ink.
Idea 2: Bioluminescence. Dark, similar to Abyss, but waves of a bright glowing blue waft through it randomly.
Idea 3: Pink. There are pink lakes in Australia. Ergo, Pink Water
Idea 3.5: Froth. White in colouration. This would be heavily memed by the community. Do not do it.
Wind Magic
Default would be named Breeze.
Idea 1: Heated. A pale red.
Idea 2: Cooled. A pale blue.
Idea 3: Dawn. Purple mixed with yellow and orange.
Idea 4: Zephyr. When I looked up wind magic everything was green. This will also be green.
Wood Magic
Imo leaves should be added to wood magic. Why? It’d be cool.
Idea 1: Spruce. Like in Minecraft
Idea 2: Amber. Look it up I’m too tired to describe it
Idea 3: Redwood. It’s red.
And with that that’s 3 new variants for all magics. Share any ideas or improvements you have, and (with your permission), I’ll include them here.
