Lots of people have known for a bit now how we’ll be able to eventually have some sort of limited way to combine magics, but I’ve got a possible theory.
What’s pictured is what I imagine an Arcanium Sword looks like, because my theory is Arcanium Weapons.
This theory states that they’ll act similar to Arcanium Cannons, where you can pluck them out of a chest, and they’ll be one of your magics, and then they stay that way, even if somebody else uses it.
You know, how Arcanium Armor should be?
And if they stay locked to whatever magic they were found as, then they can be imbued.
Mages get combined magics, bada-bing bada-boom.
vetex said it wouldn’t be like imbuement though, and it’d be strange for the mage’s way to combine magics to be through using a weapon, even if it is arcanium
Speaking of imbuements and future content of two different kinds, if that new spirit weapon from Dusk is Shadow, does that mean… combining it with Light would create Equinox? Paladins are secretly eating good.
You would be mistaken. the -10% damage occurs when shadow hits something that was hit by light, or vice versa. When it’s both at the same time, now you have Equinox.
arcanium can’t just retain your magic forever, at least not the moment you touch it. That’s why armour loses it’s magic when equipped: it’s not an exalted magic object.
the sunken sword and the triasta of bronze got to their point by being used a lot for a long, long time, or at least in the sunken sword’s case underwater for centuries
