It is from him, I have no idea how on earth you missed him casting aether magic repeatedly in his first phase with the magic circle and everything, aether isn’t his grandfather’s power

Personally, I think if we ever did that we’d have to do one of two things:
→ Increase the attack cost by around 25% or 50%
→ Make the damage affinity work similar imbues. The reason why I say similar is simply because of one thing, math. 0.825x magic with a 1x magic, and imbues add 0.075x to the imbue magic.
Math:
0.825x * (1x + 0.075x or 1.075x) = 0.886875x
1x * (0.825 + 0.075x or 0.9x) = 0.9x
Although as I’m writing this the way it could work is that it’ll take on the primary magic’s properties regardless and the speed/size changes are halved from the imbue magic.

So, let’s use a specific example:
fire/water
Fire with water imbue: 0.825 * (0.925+0.075x) = 0.825x
Water with fire imbue: 0.925 * (0.825 + 0.075x) = 0.8325x
Water as a primary magic has higher size and a size boost underwater
Fire as a primary magic could get a better scald DoT and gains the ability to be used underwater with water as an imbue
But let’s be honest in this example it’s probably better to just average the damage values.
(0.825 + 0.925)/2 = 0.875x + Scald DoT
We could also apply this logic of averaging towards speed and size. But for things like glass and earth, it should apply the bleed first and then the earth aspect.

Although, having typed all of this out. I have my final conclusion… It’s not happening unless Vetex just has both magics fire at the same time (like a dual cast). Wayyyy too many magic combinations to do and it’d only get larger with lost+ magics.

then wich curse do you think it is because for most apoc bringer is number 1

prob apoc bringer or death curse

morden has death

all we know is that its blue

it doesnt even have to be an ancient magic, hell it could even be an external curse

Pretty sure it is death, The effects look pretty similar to what morden showcases vs. julius, and Death is a strong curse but it could also show why Calvus was so distraught over not getting it (could hold some significance). Also Death’s description literally states it uses forbidden and cursed-techniques, and we all know what happened to Akursius :person_shrugging:

maybe, though i dont see a way calvus could be borrowing its power if morden took the curse itself

I think that some weapons even armor (specifically arcanium ones) can develop some of its holders power as stated by a lot of in-game items.

This is most likely done by a prolonged experience to the holders power, like using it a lot with ur powers if ur a conjurer or smth like that.

This has already happened with some curse users in AA and I think its irrelevant if someone got the curse bc its already been exposed to the curse’s power.

Also ty for clearing up the Apocalypse Bringer curse thing

ye but calvus stated it in a way that made it seem like he was controlling a small remnant of the power, and none of his weapons or armor say anything about a curse

Ye ur right, but doesnt he put on some type of hat during his second phase? Maybe thats it but we cant get it bc it would be broken.

no he just uses a transformation spell (lost spell version of aura)

id say the magic imbued as a ring over the other like this would look nice

issue i see is status effect abuse(ice and water mages insta freezing with all attacks)

WAIT SERIOUSLY?

I thought he put smth on hence the increase in power and the aura

That does seem more accurate to the lore (and ty for the drawing otheriwse i wouldnt unserstand).

But i always wondered if you could make 2 different magic types’ spell circles overlap.
