Magic infusing

Magic infusing

Remember when King Calvus Awakened and used his pillar move and at the end it emitted some kind of curse I forgot I mean yeah it was a curse but I think there should be magic infusing and heres how it works

How it Works
When you have 2 magic you can now infuse the magic onto the other magic by holding H and each magic explosion caused by the magic should cause a sphere explosion that does 50% with 50% of the size that will happen 1 second after the magic explosion

Will have a +50 magic Req on top of the skill for EX Pulsar it will be 210 magic and will make the magic skill cost 20% more Energy

Can be Parried

Thoughts?

But how would that work? Like when you cast the spell would 2 spell circles show up for each of the magics and overlap each other, or would you cast the spell normally and then when finished cast an explosion from the other magic?

Also what do you mean Calvus using 2 magics? Throughout his boss fight he only uses 1 type of magic, Aether magic (a lost magic).

And mages are already really good, adding this would make mages meta again, meaning vetex have to buff every build or nerf mages a crap ton (I don’t mean only mages I mean also magic hybrid builds).

The extra explosion effects aren’t Calvus’ second Magic, it’s his more powered up and concentrated Aether.

i dont get it

The aether wasn’t calvus’s, it was from his funny fork (hence the grandfather’s power line i think)
the idea itself seems kind of cool but it would make hybrid’s imbuing less special

Oh ok it was something I was thinking about

I’m pretty sure Calvus has Aether magic and the reason the weapon has Aether powers is bc of his grandfather most likely being an Aether curse user, plus in Calvus’ second phase he says he now starts using his grandfathers power meaning he already has Aether magic.

not all moves from bosses should be able to be used by players. also no more magic buffs, mages are already good enough, dont make them meta. never again

actually I beg to differ, mage is probably the MOST skill based class now. It pretty much entirely depends on the users aiming and predicting skills, unlike before, when you could just do a funny pulsar+ult art combo.

Ultimate arts got nerfed too, now they can’t cover up an entire island, and even at that, an ultimate art serves its original purpose as a finisher(maybe you’ll lose half your HP, but the battle isn’t over yet. they can’t just user pulsar and instantly end the fight)

so uhh yeah, I think that it would be cool if we got some sort of magic combining for mages, especially because I think that mages will be among the least powerful in later updates(or at least in that sense the most skill based)

calvus uses aether magic, we dont know what neros curse is but its powerful and blue

Nero’s Curse was confirmed to be the Apocalypse Bringer curse, hence Akursius (being built on the ruins of winter veil) being… Well, Akursius

So… I like this idea. It seems cool. Could definitely use a lot more fleshing out though. And in addition, this is taking Hybrid’s whole gimmick and giving it to a full class, which seems pretty unfair. So I don’t think it’d be a good fit for the game though.

Also Calvus just uses Aether magic, nothing else

Wait, Akursius was built on Winterveil?

Are u sure this is cannon bc I’ve never heard of it, and if it is where’dyou find this info? (I’m not doubting u btw i just wanna know if I missed stuff in the lore)

Spoiler Galio or whatever the man is named in the Eternal Mines in Raveana mentions that Nero flown to Winterveil which is now Akurius Keep and destroyed it with his curse

In the Eternal Mines, section of the story, this is explained by the former adviser of one of Ravenna’s former kings. He tells the story about how Nero decimated Winterveil with his curse, and that in its place stands Arkursius Keep

Would it be better if it is only for mages?

No no no. Hybrids gimmick is imbuing things. That and using multiple different things. That’s why you go hybrid, to imbue stuff. But now Mages can imbue magic with different magic. That, while cool on paper, takes something from class’s that are already desperately trying to stay unique and takes it away

Oh ok

It’s

Apocalypse Bringer

That was him imbuing his partial curse bruh :fr:
