anyway. we’re sidetracked. people who have power (or perceive themselves as having power) have their versions of right and wrong warped. and this is not good in the rest of humanity’s perspective
my guess for what would happen if magic existed in the real world today is that all major countries would more or less break down over the course of a month or two, and in its place would be a bunch of warlords controlling a specific set of territory, kept in line by the threat of being assassinated by government (or, what’s left of the government) black ops officials if they stepped out of line
