The only magics where the good undoubtedly outweighs the bad are probably just healing and life magic. Most other ones are meant to destroy and fight, without much use in advancing or building a society that isn’t centred around war
Yeah, but they’re more likely to bash someone’s skull in or destroy a magic council out post. Ladders and stairs help you reach high places, and since we didn’t have magic we developed pulleys and elevators. It’s more of a technological hindrance than societal advancement
Durza destroyed the world twice, Arthur established a pirate empire, rupin was a mass murderer.
There have been other curse users that weren’t exactly evil, but in which way did they advance society? Can’t say PK because magius isn’t canon and he hasn’t used his curse for good yet
