Why does magic/curses extends or inmortalizes you?
Because it makes it easier to keep characters relevant over long periods of time in the Arcane Universe plot

For curses I guess it just makes so you aren’t really human anymore. You’re just pure magic, I think. For magic idk
Magic just makes so you live a millennium. With curses you are immortal when it comes to aging.
it’s likely cause of the fact magic is flowing through the very fiber of your being and make the cells of your body last longer and be stronger (also the reason why shadow can hurt you).
for curses you literally become the element, and if it’s smth like fredrock’s it just takes your aging away.
