Amazing suggestion! This would greatly help new players as well as make it less annoying for everyone else. This would be perfect for full release!

IMO nice suggestion which will help newer players not die fast, but if you somehow have a level 160 rival at level 75 i don’t think this should apply if its your rival. (maybe i missed something in the suggestion if its here mb)

eventually we will get level 320 rivals (likely next update or 2) and we will be like level 150, so it makes some sense that if its your rival as rivals you will just fight. of course this will likely not happen cause of option A gaps but if its B i could see this being an exception

ok reasonably you would be completely unable to do this so
besides it’s one npc, you wouldn’t encounter them EVERYWHERE

Honestly a good idea, I feel as there should also be an opposite to this where if you’re too strong then the opposing NPC won’t come at you asking for suicide. I don’t really like getting combat tagged in the middle of Sameria while trying to do treasure charts.

maybe if these conditions apply to you compared to the npc (level 50 npc vs level 100 player OR level 100 npc vs level 175 player) the npc will have a 5 second timer before running away

actually that makes sense, a level 23 is not going to dare challenge a 140
