Ever since the Empires Update released, players have been dropping greatly in FPS and most of this FPS problem usually comes from “Fort Castrum”
Fort Castrum is a new island in Arcane Odyssey which serves as a wave siege in order to obtain modifiers which everybody can do all the way up until wave 10 and fight the boss.
However with the amount of enemies spawning addition to attacks which I believe sends in data to server, it makes the waves very hard to deal with while dealing with an overwhelming decrease in FPS no matter how good you’re computer is, including making the server drop in certain frames.
Instead Fort Castrum would probably be better if it worked like this -
Dungeon - When you go towards Fort Castrum, you’re greeted with a similar teleportation notification just like Nimbus Sea/Bronze Sea Teleportation border, which doing so lets you join newer server mainly made for Fort Castrum. Do note however, only Fort Castrum exists, no other islands or dark sea exists during this dungeon so if you per say sailed away from Fort Castrum on ship, you’d be going no where and everything is disabled such as fishing, stat grinding, etc. (Or you destroy Castrum first, and then you are able to raid Fort Castrum like a dungeon after a queue up on Fort Castrum for sake of immersion said by forumers)
In order to play it with others, players must be on the same ship or being within the same party, if players meet these criteria’s, they can join the player and do the dungeon. Or could do a server-list thing for people who wanna do the dungeon like dungeon-quest style + it’d make a great deal for things like cutscenes to make Fort Castrum more like threatening and it’s boss similar to Argos or Lady Carina had at the start without causing too much issues
Players start with set-amount of lives, depending on if they die, they are either set back to the bronze sea or enter a spectator sorta of mode to watch players.

Personally, I think this would be a good idea, could cause some problems such as exploiters or something running free or some abusers but over-all it’d make the game much more bearable, with a new and fresh server you’re probably bound to barely get any FPS decreases unless you were in the dungeon for a very long time compared to playing it publicly within a server and having massive FPS spikes
Another Suggestion with the idea due to problems with players trying to grind Fort Castrum or raid it:
This also excludes that one mechanic which I’ve seen other people complain about where sometimes NPC’s would just disappear or couldn’t be found in time before killing them, if that happens, Fort Castrum would be re-built and have to start all the way back from wave 1. (Could be fixed via high-lights but due to AO’s possibly)
Do note this as well:
This NPC was stuck inside a tower and was only found by using revealing potions after 3 minutes with 5 players. Would probably be so much better if NPC’s got highlighted whenever there are a few left or survived for a long time or at least make the wall-scan less insufferable since enemies I’m trying to hurt can’t exactly be damaged simply because they’re behind certain blocks.
(Optional/Ignore) Edit: (Bug-like behaviour and some players tend to complain about this happening somehow): If an enemy exceeds a threshold from where Fort Castrum is, they’ll be teleported back onto Fort Castrum (After freezing so they can’t be flung by velocity. (Mainly due to NPC’s having a chance to be flung) (Reason why I say this very specific idea to fix that from ever happening is because it seems (for me at least) to be very easy to add onto the game and I don’t got much thought process for that if it DOES happen)
