Because vetex is overhauling the lore and timeline, it would more the transition from massive continent to small islands a bit more smooth if he explained it in the lore as Magnus being Mainland from arcane adventures. And explained the jump from Mainland to islands because of magnus being destroyed during the fight with the peacekeeper and durza like all the other islands. This might also keep some of the stuff from Magnus from getting removed or replaced like the boss drops because they would still be cannon.
