Honestly , the most easy for me is frostmil , Hard is just ravenna

Someone made a tool that helps you find treasure locations.

https://myaltaccountsthis.github.io/arcaneodysseytreasure/

I can see how this potentially kills the idea of treasure hunting but I’m just putting it out there that this website does exist.

Yours and those of most opinion are totally irrelevant to me, you as well as others are complaining about the frustration of not accepting the game mechanics if you find treasures as it really should be literally in real life and in games

you are literally asking for an x to mark the treasure, the grace of the charts and looking for them, if you hate them so much, why don’t they hunt pirate ships, and the same loot, I’m still struggling to find charts to get 100%, and it takes time or not, I’m already used to thinking, your logic is that you have impatience and laziness, like all of you in this case.

forget frostmill, have you seen the whitesummit ones? i spent like 5 minutes trying to find the treasure and it was in the most dumbest spot ever.

some charts are entirely reasonable and just simple enough, and then some are wildly inaccurate and/or don’t provide enough details, especially considering the size of the island (ravenna, shell island)
i think something to help on larger islands would be nice, but i don’t want the system trivialized (cough player map marker)

if I’m being completely honest, this suggestion doesn’t make them any clearer than it does slightly more vague. Removing the height indicators for areas isn’t any clearer or will just give the location away

Given the nature of treasure charts right now you can narrow your search down to a few blocks, honestly

The indication of height is built in to the indication of area. What’s currently described as a “cliff” or a “high cliff” (terms which are only informative in certain situations; most places are either all cliff, or no cliff) will instead be described as a “plateau” or “pillar” or “near a ledge” or something like that.

Given that these were supposedly buried by people, it would only make sense that the locations are described in terms that are intuitive to people. What we have right now is simply not.

so thats cool and all but it sounds like a ton of work, i really doubt he’d bother making charts a lot more complex than they already are

@Waping ^

I… what?..
ok let’s do this:
Why would Vetex want charts in the game? think about it why would he not want a cross marking the spot?
here are the most likely reason: make us explore islands by learning about landmarks the game WANTS us to explore the world and what better way to show mastery than the use of landmarks and world detail

there the problem is the a lack of landmarks

sure you only need how far and the compass but that just makes you look at your map more than the world itself and that seems VERY counterproductive

I’m asking for landmarks like: a few steps to the south on high cliffs or head to west of a pillar of wood and stone and digging north the pillar up gives more detail about where you need to go

and on the note of: “just don’t interact with it”… are you kidding me? I want to enjoy the same parts you are I like it because it fits in the world and supports the game even if it sucks (for now) I can see how it can be turned into really fun to interact with.

" I’m already used to thinking, your logic is that you have impatience and laziness, like all of you in this case."
mean sure… I may be lazy and not used to thinking more than 2 seconds recording to you but games are toys… I want to have fun, not rage about what does few steps west near the sea means

also, that was kind of trashy to say “I’m already used to thinking”

The only good treasure chart was the quest one on Cirrus Island where the dude told you to go low and between a rock and a tree. I think most or all of the treasure charts should be like that. After I learnt that treasure chart locations are based off of terrain chunks, they became a lot more manageable. But they are still incredibly boring and just a checkbox, similar to playing battleship by going from top-left to bottom-right sequentially. Treasure charts are tedium right now, and the only thing they provide is making you go to an island to waste time for some mediocre loot that you could find elsewhere more efficiently. More specific treasure charts that feel more like a puzzle, even if only by a bit, would make them an order of magnitude better (especially on bigger and more detailed islands which probably will appear later in the story).

“Wydm i can find treasure charts so easy”
I think it should be better for when you get close to the spot you get a type of hot and cold
