Alright. Notebooks.
If you’ve ever tried to get an enchanter deckhand, you know what I’m talking about. Notebooks are insanely rare, for a base game tool on par with a repair hammer. Why.
In order to get notebooks, basically you have to leave Arcane Odyssey and go play Sol’s RNG. There are three (terrible) ways to get notebooks currently in game.
- Random loot chests. This method is terrible for obvious reasons, mainly because there are hundreds of possible items you can get other than notebooks.
- Merchant ships: Basically, you get to play the lottery trying to find a randomly spawning merchant ship, and then hoping that the merchant sells notebooks. Which they almost never do.
- Marketplace: So, I know that technically I could just buy notebooks on the marketplace, right? Wrong. Notebooks on the marketplace are incredibly overpriced, going at around (last I checked) 6,000 Drachma per notebook. I don’t have the money for that.
So, what can we do to solve this?
The answer is simple.
Just make an already existing merchant sell them.
The most likely option for a merchant to sell notebooks would probably be the shipwright, although this is definitely not set in stone. Almost any of the existing merchants could sell these and make sense. (But please, please not dye merchants)
So anyways, that’s all I’ve got. Let me know if you think there’s a change I could make or if you have a different opinion in the comment section!
