Maybe it’s just me but… the way awakening work make not that much sense

So how awakening work in AO is that you got 3 minds. When you get your first magic, it take your first mind. Then, when you get another magic/unlock your awaken, it will take your second and second mind.

So basically 1 mind = 1 magic slot, great.

Then doesn’t that mean that classes like warriors, and berserkers than don’t have magic haven’t used their first mind before their first awakening since they have no magic. Which would mean that they would have a third awakening, because their first one took their first mind unlike mages that already used it for their first magic.

Maybe it’s just me but I find it kinda confusing and illogical.

(Btw sorry if I’m not good at explaining it)

non magic builds dont use minds

Then why do conjurers need their second mind in order to imbue their weapons with magic?

Because people wanted different routes

Lorewise not gameplay

Thats your answer

Nothing is really stopping a conjurer from having 3 open minds, or a warlock from mastering certain weapons. Awakenings and classes are just there for gameplay reasons to my knowledge.

It’s just the fact that it only really concerns the numbers of magic you have that confuses me, why not making it the source of every awakening?

what are you trying to say? an awakening is just a heavy boost in power lore wise, nothing too special really.

i feel like this guy is slowly beginning to understand the the arcane universe has zero logic and everything is just decided by vetex, even if he contradicts himself

unlocking minds and arcane odyssey awakenings arent the same thing, vetex didnt come up with awakenings in aa thats why its different, and he said himself the system would work the same in the seven seas when he makes his books
TLDR: awakenings and minds arent the same thing because aa was before ao

I understood that a long ago

It has been mentioned already, but:

Warriors, berserkers, and other non-magic classes in lore are just people that dont have magic(first mind), so they are aquiring power in another way.

Gameplay wise, they get awakenings to put every player on even ground, because if we make magic better than anything else gameplay wise, nobody would play other classes.

Ok, but are mind still a thing? Cuz if yes, that a huge plot hole

So non magic users are really just built different.

Yes, and they are also weaker. The best of them mimic magic by imbuing small parts of it into their fighting abilities, but they still lose to good mages.

That would be really boring if put into a story, there are plenty of other things that could be done with non magic awakening but no, it’s just a flat buff in lore

Until that fighting style user get close to the mage and whoop his ass out of existence.

Snare:
Self explosion:
Leap:

iirc, it gives weapon users access to aura, magic users their second mind, and probably fighting style users aura as well as the power boost.
