Merlot is kinda impossible rn

Meta RAHHH

Skill issue

As a warrior
get outside
spam t jump and flying slash
with the occasional block and parry

you’re level 125 trying to fight someone whose level 300, its not meant to be easy or even encouraged right now lol

the only reason he has a drop is because people would cry if he didnt

i mean, i did come to realise yes, the damage and stuff is completly fine and makes sense.

but my main points do still stand, his location is just annoying to fight in, even if he didn’t do that much damage, basically only being able to get hit inside is pretty annoying, and if you do somehow get him outside it’s still pretty annoying when he starts playing minecraft and making a house in the mountain side

i could solo him by spamming beams rn assuming it’s just me, kai, and silverhold with no other grand navy members

i bully that guy atleast once per week, he is hard but not as hard as people think

Well, to be fair, he’s placed in probably the worst arena to fight any npc at all in the game. That space is ridiculously cramped! It’d be a pain to even fight the regular criminal npcs that use magic in that small of a space.

I agree, however, you should scroll up to see a solution for that situation.

I see, but the point still kinda stands. His default and intended fighting arena just sucks

What level is Calvus/Elius?

Yeah, especially since the poison magic is a pain to fight in an enclosed space unless you have fire or plasma magic

I will guess Elius is probably 120-125

Calvus is probably around level 600 if he’s a savant with lost magic

Remember when we could farm merlot through the ceiling on top of his little hideout?

Good times…

Bro’s stat allocation must’ve been DOGSHIT if he died to a level 102 goober spamming q blast :skull:

I can solo Merlot.

There are two methods(not the cheese one)

  1. Ocean Camp method:
leading merlot into the ocean and attacking makes the fight way easier
  2. Helicopter Method:
stay high in the air to avoid merlots attacks while pretty much bombarding him from the sky(thermofist warlord method)

but tbh all you really need is a camp and you can win

I killed Merlot legitimately but it was like 5 months ago before the Beast Instinct fling bug existed.

What a shame that this bug had to conveniently appear right when I needed early speed deckhands for my 2nd file Wind Warlock… got flinged to the dark sea at least 5 times today.
