I do a lot of pvp and I mostly play thermo berserker, typically because of the more close range and precise aiming onto hitbox it becomes more of a challenge to hit people who only run or do superman strats.
My concern is that certain dodge reflex skills, like the Exoplis (weapons one) will change balance lots and force a more AOE play style for most players. Essentially it will make fighting style builds harder.
I was wondering if anyone here has any input/experience that could clear some things up about this topic, thanks in advance
(Also I am not a tester and this is just speculation :p)
People still have start up and endlag when they attack so I’d say zerker will still have a good edge in pvp scene as long as you know how to parry; aoe builds are usually a lot easier to parry rather than attack speed builds
Another really make or break aspect is zerkers landing there grabs if u miss ur grabs u will end up getting deleted but it’s the other way around if u manage to land them. There are a lot of variables in pvp but this is a big one, especially since u won’t be able to fly away if u do miss ur grabs and end up getting low. Timing and aiming will be very prominent this update, and less about what build you’re running
Tbh I see the pvp scene being mostly balanced but we also have to see what new moves are going to be introduced asw I say those will be the determining factor of which build will have the most advantages.
Size won’t necessarily be meta because of dodge reflexes, in fact I’d say fast projectiles or ranged moves will become more important as you’ll be able to catch people with a projectile like shot, beam, or flying slash after they dodge
if you are playing zerker then it means youll have access to 2 different crashes
for an enemy doing a dodge you could always crash after and catch them if they try to do a followup move, and your thermo speed should help your crash reach longer distance dodges
This is what I hope for the most honestly, I’d always pick an attack speed build over AOE. Using crash to catch up to someone is totally fair however fighting someone who only does crazy air-tech will always be a nuisance
Exoplis can be instant with a high agility stat, same with Ekrix. Your stat build only affects which dodge reflexes you have access to, it doesn’t change how they function at all. A Warrior’s Exoplis is the same as a Conjurer’s Exoplis.
i see it as cool, although i am a little confused on how it works (assuming it takes energy rather than stamina for some) but it appears to we a mid air dash from what i understand.
also, for weapons and strength maybe it can be based on weapons used?
