For some context for full release I’m deciding between these two and my OC that this is for is Aurelian Gold and he looks like this

Metal is insanely OP, but glass is much less boring and also really good
I’m also going to end up using Delamere’s armor so the grey and gold color scheme could work really well with glass and divine golden spirit energy so I’ll probably run glass ty

Metal is stupidly better (Metal + more damage 
; of course, this only considers its damage value, its just strictly better than every other magic if you can land it), Glass is the cooler of them.
You say you’ll end up using Delamere for vanity, which would definitely allude better to glass, but you could of course use the other shades of iron.
Glass is also “more consistent” (tbf, its metal, you’re probably doing more than 5% every hit), whilst being faster and its debris is annoying as hell, in exchange for 0.9x dmg and 1.1x size (slightly less in both cases).
both of them have the bleed status, which can synergize with Patrimony and Ember staff (and Tidestone, but its 5%), regardless of Magic Paladin or Spirit Paladin (or a mix of both).

Depends on whether your priority is speed or dealing as much base damage as you can. If it’s the latter, choose metal. If the former, choose glass
