Oh, I just thought of another weakness the warden may have: lingering potions. They would make a sound when they land, and the warden would go investigate the source, which would be a big cloud of death.
because it wasnât in the first place
with 500 health and can 2 hit full netherite itâs designed to strike fear and create tension, which is kinda fitting for a biome called the âdeep darkâ
Exactly
Maybe, but the Warden has 500 health, and eventually itâll find you through smell
Plus we donât even know if itâll be damaged by potions
What if I build a noise machine?
lingering potions are not very viable, and plus every source of sound is basically its weakness
Not sure
actually that might work
set up a clock linked up to a dispenser filled with eggs/snowballs/etc
We already know one weakness it must have at the very least: wool blocks. You can walk on them, do stuff behind them, place them, and break them with no effect on skulk sensors. The warden will probably behave the same way. Also, the structure they showed at Minecraft Live had wool paths in one section.
Yeah, the Warden behaves in the same way as sculk sensors albeit higher range
Hopefully, players will notice that when theyâre walking on those pathways, sculk sensors nearby wonât go off, and theyâll learn wool occludes vibrations
what if
what if
leather boots acts the same way
Nah, that was already discussed
craft wool with your leather boots to insulate them
that would be pretty cool though
since youâre already so deep underground, and one misstep could cause you to fall 50 blocks down, leather boots would certainly not save your life
but preventing you from being heard would be a nice trade-off imo
If leather boots blocked you from making vibrations you could just waltz through the Deep Dark City, thereâs not really a challenge. Even if you did set off the Warden you could just walk awayâŚ
300 IQ play:
- Build a small wool house in the city with an entrance the warden can just barely fit through.
- Trigger the warden to spawn on purpose.
- Throw a snowball into the wool house.
- Block the entrance with more wool.
That would totally work in terms of trapping him but weâll see if youâre able to kill him once heâs in there
But can it handle the 3 block pit?
Yeah
but can it handle my army of 200 inbred wolves?
