Mini Boss you're most excited for?

For me it’s gotta be Ormolu, fighting a beast inside of stepstones sounds really cool just hope it doesn’t turn out to be a human or half vastus tho

The Banished King. I’m curious about how a body being puppeteer by chaos (how else would you be able to fight him)? would fight, perhaps blasts of pure chaos alongside imbued greathammer moves? The whole fight being in insanity 3 could also be decently unique, forcing you to fit a warding piece/scroll alongside T3 Warding potions.

Maybe Leviathan. We’re getting to see TWO new lost magics just from one boss. She’s going to be fightable in multiple seas and I’m very curious about her character and storyline, like what kingdom she’s from and what the incident was.

King Caesar is also very interesting.

coolest side boss is 100% leviathan, maybe halljborn

i doubt it would be like that since cant be directly controlled and it would just be CRUEL of vetex to make it so your constantly on insanity 3 in the bossfight.

hope he does something cool where its a cutscene where he hits the floor in room hes in hard enough with his hammer that drops both of you down into a larger arena where you can fight from there

His corpse is controlled by chaos. Confirmed by the Trello. Chaos itself is semi-sentient - while it cannot be controlled, it can control things.

Personally, I think the already existing arena would be enough. It’d give the fight more of a claustrophobic feel and have you rely on parrying and blocking more than anything. It’d also allow for the boss to be tankier and for Berserkers to have a fairer fight.

If having a boss fight with I-3 would be too much, perhaps the spawn animation could the all the chaos in the room being absorbed by the corpse? I assume its the chaos that inflicts the insanity onto us, so if it moves to control the corpse, it would no longer be able to. Something like the Broken Vessel from Hollow Knight.

I’d say:

  • Ormolu: It’s a beast we are talking about, not the average human.
  • Ex-King Octavious Caesar: He’s an undead person revived by an experimental curse/blessing, very important for lore reason, and also gives blasted rock a reason to visit besides lore.
  • Banished King: Very related to the lore, and also it’d be cool to fight a pawn to the deity of Chaos
  • Mizeria: By how she kills, it’d be interesting what she would drop, but to me i think she’s a warlock.

I’m curious on what curse possessed Octavious’s corpse

ehhh no. fight has to be somewhere else.

if its lazarus blessing i will be very sad because it means our goat freedrock has perished

also experimental curses are now renamed to blessings

sideboss would probably be hjallborn for the dual strength weapon and having a earlier strength weapon then argos (assuming hes intended to be fought earlier then argos), miniboss would be delamere for the crystal orb and the drip

freedrock was confirmed to be important later on so hes probably still alive

goat!

king caesar so i can further destroy the caesar bloodline

HELL YEAH! I’ll nuke Ravenna 20 times if I have to just to avenge Winterveil

I like how everyones biggest fear with Ormolu is its going to in fact, not be some monster but instead some insane guy.

In all fairness there was a guy named Kraken in AA

Anyone else find it funny how we are going to have an actual kraken sea monster but now LEVIATHAN is just some person?

I guess it’s just a common occurrence for people to name themselves after mythical sea beasts

Well the Kraken was a person in Arcane Adventures… He used Shadow magic

Now we’ll have Kraken as a sea beast and instead of a person we got a Leviathan that uses three magics.

In Magical Path we’ll have the Leviathan as a sea beast and some other dude as a miniboss
