Minor issue

I know you’re supposed to be upgrading your ship as you progress but if you make it to the ravenna escape with a sailboat it’s pretty much impossible to move on because you’re constantly harassed by ravenna ships that are faster than you

it is made worse by the fact that when you die and have to respawn your ship it’s invariably going to be at like 1/10 its speed because the npcs repeatedly attacked it and destroyed it after you died

i mean you could just swim the farthest you can, then spawn your ship to recharge your stamina, and when your ship sinks just swim again
definitely not a good solution but at least you arent completely screwed. most players wont think of that tho

I think the game should tell us more things about ships or naval combat as a whole a bit further.

Looking at AC Black Flag and Rogue, they always introduce us to ship from start of the game and why upgrading it is important as the story goes

I agree, like perhaps Morden could tell us smth like
“By the way we may make some pretty big enemies doing this you may want to buy a nice ship”
before you sail off to Fort Talos

yea npcs sunk my caravel while i was doing the ravenna story so when i got to the escape quest my caravel was low, i had to ride magma platforms to windrow

Some tips with this part

  1. Killing the Sailboat Crew counts to the quest, so no ship sinking necessary

  2. If your boat is damaged beforehand, you can literally just walk into a Ravenna Town to repair your ship. Getting captured by Ravenna Forces doesn’t exist at that point so you can just walk in, take your time repairing your ship, and continue on to Wind-Row/Sailboat sinking
