That’s why we draw them as incredibly hot. And invent so many headcanons that they’re not even the same character anymore.

You’re not wrong. You definitely are not wrong.

But that’s more or less inevitable when you make content and inject ideas into a character that really didn’t have the bandwidth to support depth anyways. Take Caesennia—she’s a one-off NPC who has a miniboss quest, and her dialog and title implies that she’s bored sitting around in Ravenna. That’s it. That’s the character.

There’s no indication that she was involved in Elius’s weapon training, or that she feels getting promoted to centurion was a mistake. Nevertheless, these are things that I basically made up for her.
