Sigh… looks at some trolls on the forum
Honestly,Mal in general has been spreading misinformation ever since he came back, and while it isn’t by the use of fake-science it is still harmful to the forum and it’s other members.
Now,misinformation by mistake only happens once or twice, but mal has being intentionally doing this for like the 5th time now,and it’s clear that he won’t stop until he is banned.
Only purposeful misinformation like how mal is doing, I don’t think somebody should be banned for accidentally spreading misinformation a few too many times.
Misinformation/Disinformation should be a bannable offence.
…Unless it is obvious that it IS a joke, and/or is just a suggestion.
I wouldn’t exactly call Mal’s posts as Malarky, he consistently calls his posts as “Suggestions” and not actually what’s coming up, and I think that’s what many people miss out about his posts. So I don’t think he really counts as a rule breaker.
I might be wrong, however he does label some of his posts as such.
Yeah i figured out that one
How often they do so is important though(Up for mods to decide)
It’s hard to know if someone is really doing it on purpose, and it’s not like if it was really worth banning someone for it anyway. This is a forum, it can’t be that hard to correct someone… I mean the point is to literally take part into discussions.
This doesn’t mean someone can’t have appropriate consequences for bigger problems, but you can’t really turn something as subjective into a rule if it only concerns very specific people.
How does one correct another who does not want to correct himself?
You don’t,you just send him straight to [REDACTED]
Well if they are so entitled to their belief without sources that it leads to drama, this is something different…
I mean rule 2 is about drama
That’s another issue
Also now that i think about it,if false info is listed as such and is a context for a joke it’s fine.
No it should not be a ban able offense because that person might not have known that it is a false info and I mean is flagging not enough?
Cuze if a certain amount of people flagged it, the text shouldn’t appear.
Problem is if they start to do it consistently, like for example mal
Also, flagging isn’t enough if they are on the forums like 16/7 and there is a chance new players might buy into his s… and they might actually spread misinformation as well, only this time they are also doing it intentionally without knowing what they are doing.(They can be given chances)
Mark Twain said:
“It’s easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled”
The internet has this kind of bs already, let us not let this forum fall into this bs
To be honest, this forum already became a forum where people swear all the time. sigh… Only if those people stopped spreading inappropriate contents on the Internet…
American/British differences in spelling lmao
oh right. sorry about that
Correction: Mal does not label his “ideas” as “suggestions”, instead he puts them up as “THIS IS HOW IT WILL WORK” or “HOW (insert thing here) WILL WORK”, usually as a response to someone who asks a genuine question about how something works.
