They’re a conjurer, so if their weapon has a unique skill, it could be one that hits you a bunch of times.

I think vetex strictly said any kind of flight won’t be added because ship’s are supposed to be the main mode of transport

The whirlpools are the only thing making the island unique to a terrain generation mistake besides Ruby.
I believe he only meant the Flight Spells from World of Magic. Hover let you float in the air at your regular movement speed, while Flight sped you up and let you move anywhere.

ok the combat’s fun but the permadeath is not
I just don’t like the permadeath from PvP
I don’t mind PvE permadeath since that’s more of thing you can learn from since the NPCs have the same attack patterns and there’s some player scaling to match NPCs
With PvP what are you going to do against a PL20 as a PL1?
Use a toothpick that does 0.1 dmg?

nice thing about deepwoken is that it’s actually possible to win against a max level player as a low level
in ao, if you’re level 50 and you get jumped by a level 140 its like a raidboss
other than that yeah i completely agree, being jumped by a power 20 as a power 1 is incredibly unfair (not as unfair as being an ao level 50 jumped by a level 140 tho)
