Bit iffy on the monthly drachma but otherwise it seems fine, dude has to make money somehow and not everyone knows of patreon
For that kind of money, even 100k drachma per month isn’t enough, because the value of the drachma is nothing, and continuously decreasing.
um 100k definitely is way more than enough
You’re thinking in terms of just trading, outside of that, 100k has you pretty set
A blue bracelet is not worth that much. With that kind of money people would expect a whole new mini sea to open up to them.
Of course, paywalling a whole sea isn’t good for this kind of game, mainly because what’s so good about it that I would pay five dollars a month just to enter it? And if there was something so good, then most players would be left in the dust.
It’s a dilemma, how do you add something worth paying for that won’t make the game worse? Certainly not by making a five-dollar subscription bracelet.
Change it to like, one dollar per month unless we get a whole awesome suit of armor.
Well, trading is the only thing that’ll get you Sunkens without putting the rod to the ocean. If easy sunkens aren’t worth paying for, I don’t know what is.
On one hand, 5 bucks for a brig seems too much
On another, it doesn’t feel enough for your money
I get why Vetex did it, but I don’t know what to think of it
i mean these are kind of really shitty rewards, you’re better off just buying patreon, especially if you want to actually support the game
Off the top of my head, the best idea for monetization of that caliber is opening up a form of ship mesh customization, where you can select different kinds of sails, different shapes of hull, things that people can look at and say, “that’s so cool”.
Would it take work? Yeah, it would need design and modelling, but unlike the rest of the game it results in cash, making it worth hiring somebody to do it for you.
I think this was added due to people who only really play the game tbh
For example, I don’t think the average player knows Vetex has patreon
These are supposed to be more visible, I think, being on the actual platform and all
Those people do not want a frivolous blue bracelet, they MAY want a supportive title, but they could probably care less about the color of their braziers.
i mean i kind of think it’s better for rewards to be tied to gamepasses, since a lot of people have robux and only really adults with jobs have disposable income for these subscriptions every month
the current system is fine, but i wonder if itll discourage ppl from buying patreon since they are already making a $5 payment every month
chat, elysium admin commands gamepass would go hard ![]()
Not to mention Roblox actively punishes devs for trying to push people to pay for stuff off platform.
Ngl I think the description should be something like “call upon the occult art known as capitalism to change one of your magics”
Honestly, I don’t think this is all that bad; seems pretty good, actually. For one, it makes sense why this had to happen, with Roblox gutting how payouts worked, and two, 25K Drachma honestly ain’t that much; you get to completely skip the grind for a Brig on all files without one, and truth be told, what are you going to use that much cash for outside of that?
Only issue that I can see is how the 25K Drachma are given to every single file; maybe you could get 25K deposited into your bank? As far as I’m aware, the bank is cross-file, so having the Drachma deposited once each time the subscription renews would at least considerably slow down how much Drachma is in player circulation at once.
Also doesn’t help how you can’t make incentives to buy off-platform merch. Remember when there was the huge debacle about Pet Simulator NFTs that would give “owners” a special pet in the game?
Oh, and this apparently confirms that 5,000 Drachma in AO is equivalent to five dollars in USD. (/j)
this description is never actually seen to anyone unless they have this kind of extension
yeah but it would be funny for those who have it
you would be getting 75k monthly if you payed for all 3
There is only one thing left to do, Vetex.
Add more ships, make each release progressively stronger, faster, cooler than the last, eventually make some of them fly, and make it so that the only way to get the best ones is to either play for three months straight, or pay up.
I’m talking about Jailbreak’s downfall by the way.
