i cant play AO anymore and probably will be for the foresable future but GOD i hope warrior get weapon crafting and its something like mh where you make stuffs out of monster parts

players armor design is very generic for a reason, that being that youre kind of meant to change armors as you go along in both games, so i didnt assign any specific monster armor parts to them. they also get a rathalos because its like the pikachu of monster hunter, its SO main character energy sorry, doesnt matter what ur magic element is or if you even play mage, youre getting a ratha
morden is equally as generic but for a different reason. this is him post-escaping the aesir and pre-getting his curse I MEAN elder dragon, yea theres no curses anymore, i can talk about That more on demand but ill not speak more on this here 
aside from that i thought he would do well with a nargacuga (as long as its alive at least i mean what who said that) since theyre kind of shadowy stealthy cat wyverns, and morden strikes me as a shadowy stealthy cat person. also i made him a wyverian cuz they live super long and morden has a curse in canon that makes him live super long so uea shrug
there was no question in my mind that iris was gonna get an anjanath, like come on, a big fire breathing trex is literally so iris.. out of all the designs here i def put most thought into iris’ clothes, i kind of wanted her to have a bit of a makeshift look, to show that shes just kinda winging whatever shes doing with no real prep, so i gave her a kind of mismatched armor.. i def could have gone harder with it but, yeah. i also gave her lagiacrus scales as armor, but not a full set of lagia armor, since while she IS a blacksmiths daughter, she is still too inexperienced to make a full armor. the reason its lagia scales specifically, is because in the prototype video for MHWorld, an anjanath gets killed by a lagia, and i thought it would be funny to make a lagia into an armor for this horrible slight
neviro was super easy and i did his design in one evening, cuz i KNEW he had to wear khezu armor, which i based off the khezu armor U from mh1, and just dyed it white lol. for those unaware, all “normal” khezu you encounter are actually albino, and , neviro is albino, like, this is just perfect, he will be swaddled in the skin of his kin. since he doesnt have magic, and even his curse inheritance was retconned after The Incident, he simply gets a hunter weapon, womp womp. though i gave him an insect glaive as a consolation prize. like you might not get a giant fire breathing wyvern, but you can have a beetle that fetches u cold beers (with a 40% success rate), enjoy!
anyway yea thats it for this post tune in next week where i redesign all the quartermasters and spend 50 pages talking about edward kenton specifically

the same % of people who have magic in ao, since the change here is just that i took magic away from everyone and gave them monsters in return hahah, i imagine its still somewhat rare, so not 50/50, but i dont know the exact split of magic users and non magics in ao
it’s like 95/5 or even 98/2 in ao iirc (the smaller number is magic users)
this is just an estimate from cirrus island and ravenna legion statistics (cirrus was just really unlucky)
