Monthly Writing Prompt Sept 2023: Mia Bronze’s Bizarre Adventure

September 2023

“Aha! It’s complete!!.”

Mia Bronze was walking through the streets of Rubica when she heard the shout from near the alchemist.

‘What could they be doing at this time in the morning? The sun has barely even risen yet.’

Mia walked towards the scene where two people were standing. Both of them were wearing grey cloaks with masks on - suspicious in such an environment especially after King Calvus was brutally murdered only a few months back.

“What you got?”

One figure said whilst shifting their hand to their waist.

“Interchange. Got the acrimony in only 25 ships”

One figure was holding a large bottle filled with a mixture of blue, purple and green liquid.

“Lucky. Someone in my clan is holding a stat reset party but they’re charging 5k galleons + calvus set”

Huh. Mia could have sworn they just said the name of the late king, but she was more confused with the rest of the language they were using.

“Anyway, you trading it or…?”

“Resetting. I was mage when it was meta but I gotta get some deckhands before the dark sea upd”

No, this couldn’t be right. They were speaking in half sentences, making sounds that didn’t make sense. Who were these mysterious people? She should get a Centurion to clear them out.

The alchemist drank the whole bottle of liquid in no more than three seconds. They retched.

“You saving for brig?”

“?”

“New ship in update. 20k”

“Damn. Ah it’s letting me reset my stats.”

Both figures stood still for a few seconds whilst Mia watched in fear at the primordial sounds of questioning emitting from their throats.

“Ah, I forgor you had to get the FS. I’ll grab thermo and grind legionnaires for mastery.”

Mia turned, she began to run. The last thing she wanted to know was what cruel things the legionaries of Ravenna would experience to these two… she had to find a Centurion.

“Crash!”

“Smash!”

“Shining Cycle!”

From the rooftops above fell another grey cloaked figure, wielding a large, red glowing lance. The two people beside the cauldrons evaporated into glowing dust.
