Here is some concepts for non-human enemies because the game is currently lacking in variety. Other than sharks there isn’t much else. They should be pretty simple and easy to make.

Sea Spiders - These can be found at the bottom on the sea floor in packs of 3-4. Instead of swimming they move by crawling along. They can also jump really fast, allowing them to catch enemies swimming above them. They attack in groups by pinching the enemy repeatedly inflicting a stackable bleed.

Electric Eels - These tend to swim around the sea similar to sharks. Upon seeing a target they will swim towards them in an attempt to bite them. Their bite inflicts bleed. They have a secondary ability which is that every few seconds they emit an electric field which deals large damage and paralyzes nearby targets.

Giant Nautilus - These huge cephalopods (roughly 2x the size of the player) tend to lay near underwater structures or rarely on the shores of wild islands. Whenever they spot a boat or player from far away they fire the spike protruding from them. The spike acts like a missile which homes in on the target, creating a watery explosion on contact. The Giant Nautilus is quite durable as well.

Mutated Starfish - These huge starfish can be found on the shores of wild islands similar to the previous enemy. Normally they lay stationary however when disturbed they will stand on their tentacles and begin hopping towards the target. When in range they jump on the target in at attempt to crush them. The Mutated Starfish has the unique ability of regeneration. They will constantly heal at a decent rate making them hard to put down.

Mother Jellyfish - Unlike the jellyfish found around underwater structures these can move. Usually found swimming across the ocean, they move by propelling themselves in bursts every few seconds. Mother Jellyfish cannot attack however they are surrounded by baby jellyfish which will defend their mother. The baby jellyfish charge towards the target and stinging them with a stackable poison effect. The Mother Jellyfish can replenish the number of her offspring with a max of 5 following her.

How to make diving spots impossible to explore for heat based/ice and snow mages:

Can animals use magic?

Probably to a very limited degree if at all, most likely they just become much larger and stronger due to magic energy

Would be cool to see land based animals that have become twisted due to the dark sea

Poison Jaws uses poison magic so yeah

not really, they dont cast magic circles. its probably injected poison in their jaws, hence their name

Very threatening, however there are some concerns for those who are incapable of shooting through water, with much of their magics. (And cannon fist users suffer just as well.)

Love the ideas though!

“get the fuck back here”
i love this art lmfao

Maybe there should be humanoid enemies but not totally humans. I guess some enemies that were human but they are failed experiments that the Order conducted and they gained animal parts. The only thing I fear is the furries.

one of the artists of all time

but sharks already exist

yes but they are basically the only hostile ocean creature

no the point is that there r already monsters heat mages cant fight

id love to see more non human creatures swirlin around

True, but adding even more sea enemies just makes it worse.

U say that like it is possible rn x.x

Yes

they can probably mutate and gain magic-like ability, but cant straight up use magic like humans/other intelligent species like sirens do since, well, they lack the intellect to do so ( atlantheans can still use them through instinct, so they dont count )

  1. sharks
