I assume its constantly recording but deletes the data from moments ago. So when you say record last 2 minutes it just saves that part.
or records data into short-term memory and only moves it into storage if you say record the last minutes

Medal works by capturing the past 2 minutes of your gameplay, so once you get banned just press your hot key for capturing and the last 2 minutes of what you captured will be recorded
That’s how people manage to get funny random clips, since they recorded it after it happened not before
so it’s like how shell described it where it’s constantly recording but when you save a clip it just cuts to the most recent 2 minutes prior?
