My aim sucks so I need help, other than aim trainers

So I want you guys to rate me from 1 to 10, the lower the easier it is for me to get rekt by others.
And also I want some improvment tips… other than carina aim trainer.

Problems that I am aware of

  • half-assed aim
  • bad ping
  • sometimes eyes get blurry from turning screen

Author’s note: The video order is actually reverse… there goes uploading things at the same time.

I’ve watched only the first 3, my internets really bad rn but from what I can see you really seem to struggle doing air shots, which is a very important thing for mages because most of your opponents will go jumping around mid air (yes this includes berserkers and warriors)

My suggestion is to not always aim without a clear angle of your character, you should do a pseudo-shift lock where you aim your cursor directly towards your character and just slightly to the right while holding right click so that you can have a better grip to where your aiming while also not having the hassle of pressing alt to shift-lock, this also improves your air shots. Try to switch between free angle and mouse lock so you can aim more reliably.

Also idk if your only locking yourself of only blasts but try to use beams more, they are pretty helpful. Your usage of blasts from your 1st to 2nd magic is good, try to stay on your poison clouds as that’ll serve as your zone area.

And try to practice predicting where your opponent will land.

Lastly just make your hits count, that’s all that matters to PVP, better to hit a low ass damage spell than to miss a high damaging spell 5 times.

forgot to rate, i rate you 6/10 your decent than most

prob like 5, learn how to aim in the air

and dont underestimate aim trainers either

Watched the first 3

You’re mainly using shadow blast, poison beam and occasional snares (1 self explosion at the end).

Since you’re a mage and having trouble aiming in the air, you could use placed explosion (or pulsar ), will also help hit against beast instinct. For beams you should use 2 amount instead of 1 like the ice conjurer. It is more instant damage than 1 and there’s minuscule amount of startup time.

Placed shockwave explosion (don’t need the best aim) on poison will also spread the cloud (shouldn’t do it against a heat magic user since they will take it over the cloud) and it would be free damage or you can make him move around to avoid the could and be easier to aim at.

Shapes are very useful, could try +size shape on shadow to make it easier to hit. Hammer for +size or greastsword/phoenix for +damage placed explosions

yea about the pulsar part, trying to not use it during controlled fights as it is pretty OP as of now.

You have my respect.

Based

well, there’s no real method you can do to improve aim other than repetition and practice, but, there’s something you can use to try and practice other than an aim trainer/hours straight of pvping, even if it’ll be a bit more predictable

try just fighting against wanted criminal/hero npcs for a hours on end instead of convincing a player to sit through a training arc
it’ll help you at the pointing part

oh, and drill is amazing once you get better at aiming
you could still barely miss a shot on an attack speed build and the hit would still register because the size given from leveling up alone is already Really Good, even with like 15-25% less size
it’s even more forgiving if you’re using a calvus/sunken set (no way you’ve got the sunken set though)

All I can say is practice, and focus on aiming more directly at the target in the air rather than near them (aiming near is fine if you have AOE on the ground).

i do have full set of sunken actually, but since it didn’t give agility i chose not to use it
I’ll give it a try

attack speed is pretty good, too, could help you hit things more consistently

ur a solid 1/10 or 2/10. big problem i see you doing is not aiming at the person, instead aiming either behind or around them. you should definitely use right click to move your camera more, too much relying on pure mouse aim. also change ur shape, sword shape is trash. one thing you want to start doing is using 20/20 blasts. the guy ur fighting id probably rate a 2/10 but since he keeps holding his beam to bait you, you can punish with a well aimed 20/20 blast.

forcing himself to lose every battle he’s in will not help him improve
it’s far too long-lasting, inconsistent, and miniscule to do any real damage

using 20/20 blasts isnt going to make him lose battles u dumb or what. if he gets good at using 20/20 blasts can effectively do 24% more dmg whenever he lands a blast

there’s no way you’re not trying to bait me or something bro 20/20 is NOT something for him to be using when he can’t hit a single half the time
20/20 is ASS

its legit just aim thats it

:hushed:rer

Don’t knock it till you try it

He means 20% blasts
