If I may inquire, how did each of them acquire their respective titles?

…you little- yeah.

The parents left him on the steps of a noble home. Considering they are criminals and would have a pretty tough time caring for him… (The lack of resources and all.)

The parents felt partially guilty, for leaving their baby to be cared for someone else, but the risk of caring for a child in Blackwater grotto of all places was too high.
They would rather have him be in the care of another, much richer, family then be raised a criminal.

He is partially aware of his origin (?).
Since Lucian (the captian) is a criminal, he wouldnt get hurt by the residents and would frequent the place for ship repairs or food.
Back when Blackwell would often take off his helmet (usually when it was damaged by the pirates that the crew would often fight), he was unloading cargo as usual but noticed something- the stares that the Shipwright would give him were offputting, almost as if he was judging him. Blackwell managed to make small talk with the man, the conversation mostly consisted of him talking about his history with a criminal like Lucian and his personal background.
The shipwright would mention that he looked nearly identical to a man that used to reside in the grotto, Blackwell was obviously a concerned, what connections would he, a man from Ravenna, have with this place?
He tried to press for more information, but the questions he asked were met with short and sweet “You’ll figure it out eventually” or the variation.
Blackwell is reasonably a bit paranoid from the encounter, anyone with common sense would be, he tried to chalk it up to the shipwright being delusional or having terrible vision, or anything to make sense of the situation. Yet something felt so weird, almost as if he read the continuation of a story he thought was finished.

As his title suggests- Spears used to be a theif. It was all petty crimes though (stealing from merchants, picking fights with people if he felt like it, ramming into ships just to cause damage, ect.)
And It thankfully landed him a few days in prision. He was only 16 when he started doing these crimes and stopped around he time he turned 20.

Best got his title from his strange likeness to serpents and snakes (me fr), and especially Leviathan (assuming Leviathan in AO is “serpent-like”), also the stock of his Musket has a pattern of scales that Reeves managed to carve in ^^

Blackwell got his title from his ‘menacing’ stature and ‘aura’ as some have called it, he has the mentality of a great dane and is a pretty intimidated by conflict. The title gave him a bit of a advantage in fighting as anyone with a sane mind would be scared to fight someone with the title of a ‘menace’ of all things.

Reeves is currently the last deckhand to be recruited by Lucian, and since he had no title- he might as well match with Best. He isint as obsessed with snakes like Best is, but he still respects his interests.

i vibe heavily with all of them.
Blackwell and Reeves definetly look like they would kill you for looking at them wrong, but the fact that you portray them as otherwise is something i love.
