stagger mechanic on strong enemies to give underlevelled players a chance at reversing the tides of PvP and PvE
wom spinoff book
reading your concerns and stuff was entertaining and I could see some stuff that I also hope to happen in Full Release, honestly how you rated things and how you gave insight was the most innocent way a forumer has told a lil flaws and suggestion in between. Well done!
god I wish we had gimmicky fights, you don’t get strong by just being strong, if you want to be strong you have to be smart, I WISH people in AO weren’t bloody stupid, call in help! Drop roofs on people! Make the battlefield favour you!
“I should sacrifice all 599 men under me to weaken the enemies invading my fort.”
“I should call in the 20 people in the room right over to apprehend this singular fucking bastard who broke in and heard confidential Ravenna information”
he is gonna start writing them during vimir sea development… so yeah about 2045
Source
why do you need a source man im always reliable with my info
I have not seen anyone else say anything about him writing the books starting in Vimir & I dont wanna get my hopes up
Huh
I thought books as in fanfics on like wattpad or smth
never ask for a source again.
Keep in mind, this is the series where most fights are decided by who has the bigger number (The MC being the only exception to this rule)
What I think AO needs right now, more than anything, is fleshed out side content & Community play friendliness QOL.
AO side content has a very bad ‘rng’ problem right now. Doing almost any activity boils down to luck, its hard to just like, conistently do something you want to do, there’s always an extra step that just burns time. For example, Treasure charts. You cant just ‘get’ a treasure chart to go treasure hunting, you have to open a dozen or more chests, or fight a much stronger enemy in order to get one.
Hunting Sea monsters is another example. Though I would love to see sea monster ai improved, its also hard to just ‘find’ a sea monster. 90% of the time, if you find white eyes, its because you just accidently stumbled upon him.
Community play is also… pretty bad. There’s no activity in this game outside Fort Castrum that isn’t instantly made less worthwhile by doing in a group.
Bosses gain double health and increased damage, but no change in drop rate, so its just more work for the same reward . Diving spots are impossible to complete and get xp for in groups. Sealed chests both from fighting pirates and dark sea don’t split loot and both types of activities are perfectly doable on your own- at this point, there is no point to PLAY with friends other than if you are doing PVP content, which sucks majorly. Even Fort Castrum, which was the games first true friendly pve event, is still LESS worth doing the more people you have. (More people adding more npcs, higher level disparities, more lag, etc)
Idk if anything will be easily changed by full release to make the game more friendly to co-op play and make some activities more casually available, but I hope it will be. As a tester my power to make change is still limited to what Vetex himself thinks is best.
remind me to like this in an hour
Like I understand not wanting your boss fights to be easily solved by bringing friends, but there’s just a point where the scaling makes it significantly harder for no extra reward. (I’m looking at you Fort Castrum)
k
Why did calvus upon getting to half health not IMMEDIATELY call in 50 centurions to come jump us, is he stupid?
I’ve also seen points of how if you’re playing with friends you get less gear due to splitting chest
HOWEVER, the alternative of making them client side is a fucking abusable nighmare for both normal players and exploiters
