My developmental revival(?)

I’ve had heavy burnout for approximately two years now; it’s been a thorn in my side, but ever so subtly, I’ve gained the will to develop once more.

I’ve challenged myself to replicate some AA/WoM/AO features without copying directly from the source. So far, here’s the result:

P.S. This video was compressed from 180mb to… 6, there ARE some artifacts.
The build took me the longest time, and it isn’t even anything planned; I just needed something to show the style I was going for.
P.S. 2. The magic system was built in 8 hours, as per the reworked animation system and leap.

I want to eventually make a very small game with a fully functional magic system, not like one seen in AO, that’s a bit too complex right now, so I’m attempting either AA (Preset skills) or WoM (Like AO but.. primitive?).
The builds will likely not continue, as I have no reason to showcase them, or they are not showcaseable.

Some builds, regardless, in case anyone is curious.

Credit to Tobi's Magic Circle Hub for the magic circle/icon designs, they look awesome.

On the viking-esque house?

just that house in general, it’s very nice
although the balcony might benefit from having some more supports

Yeah… I abandoned the hut very shortly into this experiment. I never went back to fix it up to standards.

At least I made the wood grain look good? (and accurate)

They look pretty good but some of the buildings look overdone.

The guard tower is one I see this too with.
The viking-esque hut was built with said purpose, it looked… too plain if I adhered to the style.

Looking good
