My guess is that the vetcord mods were desperately looking for an excuse to ban Level and finally decided on doing this. Maybe one of the mods was in an exceptionally bad mood that day.
It’s still cowardly behaviour though. At least come out and say that you’re banning him just out of a whim, instead of giving weird excuses.

heres my take on this:
although yeah you did spoil chainsaw man stuff, the mute would be deserved BUT rule 23 shouldve been in place ever since endgame (or whatever that one movie was) was being enforced for spoilers. as for the part where it went from a mute to a ban, its honestly a bit too harsh for what it is imo but it was dealt by a mod supervisor so i dont really have a large effect on this topic

anything and your screenshot proves nothing other than mod favoritism for friends of vet/testers and him being informed beforehand that chainsaw man spoilers got somebody banned before yet still spoiled chainsaw man because someone who’s very clearly joking afterwards told him “nothing will happen”.

spoilers should be punished, but not harshly. ontop of this, “common sense rules” don’t exist. if something is NOT listed, it is assumed it is allowed
if people keep talking about various movies, tv shows, etc and get muted/banned(
) for it, the administrative team needs to give the community a way to discuss the topic. this would obviously mean to just add a text channel (or a thread!) purely to discuss tv shows, movies, etc. this would allow members to discuss the topic freely without the threat of punishment for spoiling. it also doesnt hurt the staff team to do it
as someone who has the (dis)pleasure of being practically a staff manager of a large weeb social server, i do see spoiler rules as a bit of an iffy topic. spoilers are ALL OVER the internet. there is NEVER an escape from them while youre on the internet. to watch a show purely without any spoilers, you would need to never interact with anybody or anything for the whole duration of the watch/readtime. hell, im watching one piece and ive already been spoiled of major plot twists and story arcs from youtube thumbnails, memes and peoples profile pictures. so while i do understand people want to keep spoiling away, it cant really happen. you need a channel for people to discuss these topics if you want to avoid spoilers

for a lot of discord servers, it isnt the staff teams fault per-se. its their guidelines.
staff members usually have a guidelines channel or something which they adhere to and reference to when moderating. helps new staff understand how the server functions and whatnot. i expect vetcord’s guidelines are quite strict therefore so are the staff
