My take on Acheron's "new" design

I’ve been sitting on this for like 2 months and it’s been even longer since Vetex canonized him just looking like A Guy But Ourple so please forgive me for taking so long. Anyway I needed to make a contribution to the forums for one of those tierlists and decided to just shut my brain up and post this

Tried out a new line style just for him, much looser than I usually do

My personal ref for colors and such (very rushed)

Also a fun detail that didn’t really show up too well is that I made the contracture lines of his burn scars feather textured :3 also the reason they glow pink is cause in my headcanon he tried to “heal” himself with revival magic mid-battle and failed

Oooh nice to see more AA inspired works! Even though I’m not the biggest fan of Vetex’s design concept for Acheron (BUT I will say I vibe with it as a pre-discarding-his-physical-body design), I like the way you adapted it to still look mystical/spirity with the slight glow. Also him reconstituting his lost leg with the leg bones is dope, especially with that bit you put about him trying to use dead revival to heal himself, really clever idea for how to use it.

One last thing I honestly appreciate with is that you didn’t make him big and imposing or even very intimidating (outside of being an evil purple spirit looking guy of course). In fact if you ignore the last bit about being an evil half-spirit guy then he actually looks pretty disarming with his 5’3" stature, long curly hair, and big ol’ eyes :eye: :eye:

really cool but i though he would be more like, rotting, u know… almost no hair, with one eye and more exposed bone

anyway this one looks cool imma call it acheron young phase

You kinda forgot the part where his entire circulatory system would be visible as his veins would be glowing with pure white energy…

I tried, I drew the veins but didn’t make them glow as I felt that would add too much clutter, so they’re barely visible here. I can’t really balance all the small details of a design very well since I usually draw lines somewhat thick
