Necessary Drawback changes

So you are telling they won’t be tanks anymore, why are you arguing about tanks the n?

This is not about Drawback. I want you to see, what is Drawback, and what is Spirit weapons. The Spirit weapons are mean as “no miss” and that is why they are used by vitality builds to compensate this, not the Drawback

We literally don’t have Spirit Weapons yet.

We’ve got no concrete clue as to how they’ll actually play 'till they’re getting worked on. Everything that’s been said has either been inferred or assumed unless I’m missing some official post in the discord wording how it’ll work bit by bit

Imagine a build: full sunken set, fair defense amulet, cernyx faulds and set of Painite. All is hard. They do no dmg bc of no Power stat, and their huge hp is being melted by Drawback at seconds. This is just an useless build. But if Drawback would be based on dealt dmg, they won’t even feel it.

And the fact that everything to do with drawback in the game right now has defense tied to it innately, it’s a pretty good guess of how drawback will play out. Of course this could change once we actually get more drawback gear, but right now it’s literally supposed to be a high risk high reward playstyle where your moves have to land

Why would you use Painite then just use Diamond

You’re already not doing any damage anyways, there’s no real point in that

Now, replace Sunkens with Vatrachos. Now, it will still have the hp, but also power, and with current Drawback they will lose a chunk of their hp and will be nothing different than a normal player. But with my change, they won’t handle this power, they will be forced to run less power, that means less drawback, and will retain their tankiness back

The point of drawback having defense in the first place is to literally make up for the fact that you’d be running out of hp even faster without it lol, it ain’t a slow drain at 900 hp or something. It’s not meant to make builds tankier it’s meant to add a risky playstyle. If it was meant to make builds tankier, it wouldn’t be doing as much as it does already in any circumstance lol

To sum up:

  1. Current Drawback.

Glass cannons: an unstoppable force reaching the heights of power, knowing no stop.

Normals: just normals.

Tanks: a useless percentage of players who lost their only advantage, the natural regeneration, to the Drawback.

  1. My suggested Drawback.

Glass cannons: highly nerfed guys who can’t survive their own hits, but if they are not minmaxing power and attack size, they can be very powerful if learn precision and accuracy.

Normals: nothing changed.

Tanks: the build risen from forgotten, tanks finally can be met on servers. While retaining high hp, they will be able to do decent damage, still lower if vitality due to that stupid damage decrease. But if tanks will run high power, they will sacrifice their tankiness and become no different of glass cannons.

And sorry for this, Im talking based on my spirit weapons ideas, Ik that makes no sense mentioning them

Tanks were never forced to use drawback nor are they meant to, that’s literally the whole issue with your proposal other than no punishment for whiffing attacks.

Painite exists literally just to make coping with drawback a tad bit easier with the defense it provides.

Drawback in it’s current form exists as a means to use a riskier, more powerful playstyle that actually punishes you for playing worse.

Tanks do not need any drawback gear to perform as they have, and it’s generally been difficult to have power on them in the first place because they are, quite literally, tanky. Vitality builds also supply a huge amount of HP to begin with from what I know. We also have the Armored exotic enchant now.

Your proposal would buff something that’s essentially not meant for tanks, so tanks can use it alongside other players and do stupid damage while being unimaginably durable. Tanks currently don’t have much of a place in the game to begin with until we get Spirit Weapons, and they never really did either

Why you think Drawback is not meant for tanks? I think the complete opposite. Drawback takes your life power, and so the ones who have a lot of it should be Drawback users, shouldn’t they?

The more drawback they have the far quicker they will die, that defeats the entire purpose of them being a tank in the first place.

I can confirm this too, I’ve managed to get myself 8 drawback and first attack literally takes 400 hp out of 1.6k hp, the more drawback they end up getting the quicker they’ll die. It’ll entirely defeat the point of them being tanky

That is what they have now. After, the drawback would do nothing for them but being a passive reminder of not running high power

Then it’d essentially just make it less risky at that rate, it’d only make things worse lol

Power’s hard to run on a tanky build to begin with, a change like that would only really hurt builds that already have to watch all their attacks and make sure they actually matter
