Hey all. Currently trying to decide how I want to handle the crosshair/indicator in a game I’ve been working on. Currently, it’s a static image on the screen. I want to try to make an indicator that hovers over/on objects, or enemies, in a way similar to the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
However, I’m not sure what lore-wise would be the best option. I haven’t decided any of the primary character’s story outside of how they interact with the “big three” factions of the world. Any suggestions below would be appreciated.
While z-targeting is “”“explained”“” in ocarina of time as being helped by Navi, is there a need for it to be?
As far as I know, all humans can move their head and body according to what they want to do. So unless your enemies move to be hidden by a wall, there realistically shouldn’t be much of an issue with it.
As for the inspiration that you’re looking for, with so little context, it’d be difficult to find suggestions to share.
