wasnt that already a thing on the trello

Oh, nice! I noticed this too, but didn’t put it in my post here: Obscure AO Trello Updates (kinda)

Reason being, I thought that Scorch Magic was new because I had always remembered Apocalypse Bringer Magic being at the start of the Ancient Magics list, but I wasn’t 100% sure if it was new or not because maybe I had a bad memory.

Anyways, it’s cool that another grand fire magic has been added to the list. Now we’re only missing two grand fire magics in AO, aethereal flame and darkflame.

thick white water variation when?

I guess sea curses can overlap with ancient magics in the War Seas or something

everyone gangsta till we get Legendary Super Saiyan Fire

Good, more options for people, that means less people will go after Apocalypse Bringer. Vetex should add a couple dozen more Ancient Magics and make them OP or something.

Really, the only ones that interest me are the equinox, pressure and balance (that of doing more damage to those of opposite reputations)

i have to choose between inferno and scorch now???
uhhh…

yes yes yes
this is what i needed
scorch my beloved

edit: but it’s just another fire magic so what am i talking about

i choose both because i have 9 files

My best guess is Scorch is going to have high AoE and destruction with lower damage and DoT. Sort of furthering what Flare already did well in one regard.
Apocalypse Bringer might be better but we already know that the Cursed and Forbidden skill types actually fucking stack insanity onto you, so it’s likely that you’d die before you could fill the thing with skills. Scorch will be a great alternative due to that.

Apocalpyse bringer will probably have much higher destruction than Scorch, but the insanity it gives will probably be a pretty big downside

I literally said that.
