Just a thread where we try to figure out the mysterious identities of the new goated developers, this can be removed at the request of any of them if we do get one right, or it can be removed beforehand so that it doesn’t get out, but I figure that it would be fun to theorize who we think each of them are
I will state that obviously none of these are going to be 100% confirmed until the developers come out (if ever, it’ll happen eventually though) so don’t act like these are 100% proven.
Important things to note-
All of the developers are apparently “current testers/friends of mine who are passionate about the game” according to vetex so this narrows down the search a lot.
Starting off-
I think is Maplestorm
I think is Fartman
I think is Crimsonpants
Maple is working on their own game right now as far as I know.
They’re still recovering from having literally the entire game stolen a while back and needing to redo a whole lot of work.
correct which is why i think they’re specifically the moon
maple has always been really good at getting the communities opinions for his game (he posts a lot of polls and progress updates and even has a “ask the developer” channel), so it makes sense that he decided to help vetex by doing his own stuff, and rather than specifically implementing a bunch of other changes the moon emoji is mostly looking for feedback, so it lines up in my opinion
i also have another piece of evidence that while not conclusive could be used to support this theory as well, but im not able to post screenshots still so i cannot share it
if you check the moons contributions its so far just dialogue and community feedback (and fixing a single bug), which aligns with maple since he would be more focused on his own game but still more than happy to help his friend with his game
im sure hes picked up on a little of lua as an experienced tester, would make sense considering vetex said they’re all fairly newer/inexperienced i think?
the dev seems to be doing the most work though, he or she has been responsible for some of the most complex and largest qol changes as of yet which i feel hints at them having more experience than the rest
they have also done the most bugfixes which definitely needs good knowledge of coding
maybe fart man is the shady guy cause he just farted and is trying to keep it secret and crimson pants in the gust of wind guy cause he’s just so pro at coding or something
I’m putting all my money on ☽☽☽ being Crimsonpants, solely because I remember him having a document that had a ton of proposed changes (similar to the initial mention of working with players and testers to plan out QoL changes, plus his sudden activity on the forums coinciding with ☽☽☽ beginning to study feedback on the forums).
