mage does not need a new movement spell rn, let alone a grab that lets them punish with an aoe or chain with another movement spell for mobility

snare is not total dogshit and i am skeptical of those who say it is. it rewards awareness and timing and counters many of the skills i see being used to chase/punish mages (triasta tp, claws selino copy, selino, crash, breathtaker, torrent, hasta, etc etc). and you can endlag slower aoes with it.

movement grabs are getting their momentum removed next patch btw

Almost everyone agrees it is and/or has a really shitty hitbox

here is the video example you asked for. no audio because i play on a mac. i hopped on 30 minutes ago to do 3 matches in arena and the first fight is off region. i landed 3/6 snares and you can see the ones i didnt are from bad timing on my part (also because im trying to land them deliberately and that just doesnt work sometimes)

u dont even need to aim the move just be close and use it when theyre not blocking

This is so true, I’ve been hard punished by snare before while attempting grabs or lunging attacks, if it has a bad hitbox, ask for the hitbox to be fixed, not for an entirely new grab that doesn’t make sense for mage to have
