these could come in 2 different versions, being a bronze and deluxe version. Since they are from the thorne empire(theyre having their industrial revolution rn), they would probably have slightly higher levels than their default counterparts and don’t have an old version.
Level-action Rifle These began use in the 1860s in the real world with earlier less reliable ones around in the 1840s, so these could fit AO
level: 80(bronze) or 130(deluxe)
Yeah, I’ll always vote for more weapons. However, I think that Vetex will think differently on the subject of more guns. Which I get, we don’t want AO to become a shooter game in which you throw endless projectiles at your enemies!… wait a minute- Ah, nevermind. Kind of like how explosive guns like an RPG will never be added, since those will essentially offer free AOE hits no matter what, almost like the explosion spe- WAIT.
if these are supposed to be musket variants then the 4 sec cooldown on lever action seems overtuned compared to the default 10 seconds, its faster than a flintlock yet would still deal more damage per shot (i think? im almost sure a musket at 90% power is way stronger than a flintlock at 100% power)
thats not too important though, stats can be adjusted and its just a suggestion. just worth pointing out
I figured scoped rifles were always going to get added to the game at some point goven that there’s not really anywhere else to go from here with making the weapons seem more powerful, but I’m always happy see someone suggest it directly.
Nothing is inherently unbalanced unless something is implicitly required to be capable of doing something overpowered, like say a spell guaranteed to instantly kill in a single hit no matter what. What part about a sniper rifle, a weapon that is slow to fire and requires great accuracy from the user, is inherently unbalanced? There’s this crazy and little-known practice known as balancing a game that prevents things from being unbalanced, believe it or not.
