A Myrgol is an Abyssal class Sea Monster well-known for its aggressive and destructive nature. While not exactly rare, few stroies of encountering a Myrgol exist. Dead Men can’t tell stories after all.
Appearance
A Myrgol partially resembles a gigantic Stingray or Horseshoe Crab, with a thin central body that extends into a whip like tail. 2 massive fins extend horizontally off it’s body, quintupling it’s width. These 2 fins run off from the entire body, and shrink as they travel down the tail, smoothly flowing into its tip. A long mouth runs down its body, about a third of it. This mouth is full of tiny sharp teeth, needle-like in appearance, similar to a Gulper Eel.
Myrgols are migratory predators, moving from place to place in search of prey. Their long fins are built to channel fire magic, and are almost constantly ablaze, even underwater. A Myrgol is able to use this to leave trails of fire in its wake, and dash forward with unmatched speed.
Combat
The Myrgol has 9750 HP.
A Myrgol is quick to initiate a fight with anything it sees, circling around potential prey to create a ring of fire in order to keep it constrained. While it’s possible to leave this ring, it damages a ship when it passes through. A Myrgol’s teeth and bite power aren’t particularly strong, and it relies on the flames created by its fins, as well as the stream of fire it can exhale to deal damage. If a Myrgol is reduced to 1000 HP, it will begin leaping over the ship to try and grab and eat anyone in its path.
Loot
Killing a Myrgol results in it dropping:
80% 1-2 Myrgol Fins, which can be used as a Jewelcrafting Reagant with a unique effect, that being that dashes with the Jewels leave behind a trail of fire that lasts for half a second. More Myrgol Fin Jewels increases the time by another 0.5s for every fin.
Sorry for the wait, have had a ton of work to get through, but I’ve finished now so hope you enjoy.
