With the introduction of fleets and the exploration task, doing treasure charts is basically useless outside of mythic/lost ones or just getting exp to get mythic/lost charts

Before full release, getting a legendary chart was like a big hype moment but now they’re so common that they aren’t even worth the effort to do anymore.

To amend that, and also bring some new life to the feature, I suggest there be new sealed containers you can get from charts besides sealed chests.

First, maybe a collection of random artifacts that can be sold for fairly decent amounts of drachma to shipwrights that can increase in rarity with higher tiered charts, starting at uncommon you could find various golden trinkets that can sell for around 500-1000 drachma, rare ones they could maybe have diamonds embedded into them and sell for around 2500 drachma, mystic could maybe have a few cool references to previous games like maybe a bag of lamina or aurem that can sell for 10k

Legendaries and above should start having way more important things, like maybe rare or rarely lost spell scrolls sealed in containers, which will also help alleviate that side of the market by making them less rare, or huge sealed chests which can only be carried 1 at a time and have a ton more loot (can just be the sealed chest model but larger lol)

These rewards should likely be rarer the earlier you are in the chart, like some legendary pirate isnt going to put his annihilation scroll at the very first spot in his lost chart, but you may get some of the other rewards as you progress further in the chart (like if you have a legendary and you’re at the third spot, it could have rare-tier rewards)

There are a ton of different trinkets or various rewards you can add to charting, this is just a general idea about how the system could work and what could be added

the same thing could also be done for the dark sea (literally was just made going to the dark sea for sealed chest irrelevant. prob i2+ would get better sealeds)

On the topic of trinkets.
I feel like everyone has mostly forgotten that deckhand artifacts exist!

This would be a perfect way to add more.
Right now all the artifacts we have are literally just pieces of junk.
A frayed lead line for god’s sake. A singular golden coin is the highest quality one we have.

There is clearly intent for progression here, lets take it.

My one concern is this increasing inflation even more, but that’s inevitable. You have my vote.

please no far reaches sealed chests it takes like 20 minutes just to sail there.
can you imagine how awful that grind would be

yo thats actually a very cool suggestion

They are really useful too, I don’t get why there weren’t added more than the base few.

EDIT
Either upgrades of the ones we already have, or some that increase speed, resilience by a % rather than a flat increase.

Eh.. it’d break the consistency with how Sealed Chests are designed.
Each sea have their own Sealed chest, e.g. Bronze Sea has Bronze Sealed Chest, Nimbus Sea has Nimbus Sealed Chest, and Dark Sea has Dark Sealed chest.

If they should introduce tiers (which would be very annoying, as it takes so long to sail in the Dark Sea.), they would need to keep the base design, but perhaps use the rarity system on top of the Sealed Chest system, as Dark Sealed Chests at the current moment are shown as red-bordered (mystic) in the inventory, perhaps make earlier ranges have Rare, then later it’s Mystic, then way later it’s Legendary.

It doesn’t have to “break how they function” just have them be able to spawn anywhere a normal sealed chest would just with lower odds. Certain POIs or actions could guarantee them, if desired.

i’m all for jumbo sealed chests and trinkets

This could help alleviate the issue where they’re just so useless to experienced players so they end up being treated like litter (it is mad funny that a new player can just come across this and get rich though)
