A long time ago…
Summary
Before there was an earth, there was a universe, and before the universe, darkness. Suddenly a white light illuminated the darkness and created the universe. From the explosion the power of the flame was dispersed, and as a bi-product chaos was created, an unpredictable force that is ever-expanding. Many years later the god Prometheus harnesses the scattered power of the blast and forms a new white flame, The Flame of Creation. Using the flames power, Prometheus creates magic (Small amounts of chaos that can be controlled), which he later gives to humans. One such human, Arthur The Cursebeard, grew powerful enough to kill Prometheus, and the Flame of creation (now known as the Promethean flame) was taken. As time went on, information on the whereabouts of the flame faded into myth. Though, there are still some who believe the flame exists, and who would stop at nothing to gain its power. And those who seek to destroy it…
What was that?
Summary
That was the opening prologue to the comic. It is still a work in progress, but essentially the plot will center around opposing forces, the embodiment of Chaos, and the Lost mages, who are both trying to gather information on the Promethean Flame. This is my personal version of the lore, but because I am not in league with Vetex or Tech I am filling in the missing information with my own ideas. I also did not play Arcane Adventures so a lot of the information I am getting is from people, and the game lore google doc.
Story:
Summary
The story will follow 2 main characters over the span of the comic. I won’t give away any major details, but expect me to try to follow the lore as best I can while adding in my own ideas. This comic will also be pretty dark, not like horror, but it’s a far departure from my Tobi comics (which this idea came from).
Chaos Boost/chaos magic:
Summary
Chaos is somewhat sentient, can be manifested through evil thoughts, and is heavily attracted to pure evil beings or great pain and agony. When a person has gone through great suffering, anger, and pain, they have the potential to harness small amounts of chaos to boost their magic (with the training of course). Chaos boosts your physical and mental abilities, as well as boosts your magics’ destructive power, speed, size, and so on. The negative effects are that Chaos can change the user’s physical body appearance, Magic, and mental state. Because Chaos is semi-sentient, it can sometimes drive users to commit terrible acts out of rage and aggression, or just go insane.
Flame of creation/Promethean Flame:
Summary
Not much is know about the flame, and even little is know about its whereabouts after Arthur The Cursebeard took it from Prometheus. All anyone really knows is that it is an old legend of a powerful white flame that holds immense power. If anyone with ill intentions were to get their hands on the flame, it would surely cause another world catastrophe. Only one thing can destroy the flame…
Lost Mages:
Summary
A large and powerful group of Mages whose sole purpose is to find and take other rare magics, magic items, and artifacts. They are the direct opposers to the “Embodiments of Chaos” and will stop at nothing to gain the power of the Promethean Fire for their leader’s twisted goal. Their current efforts are focused in the Seven Seas, but their leader has sent many groups around the world in search of information on the flame, though some have not reported back…
This is all the information I will give. Expect things to change if more information is given out by Vetex or Tech.
