The Nimbus Sea has… really bad weather. Especially compared to the Bronze Sea. Now while we don’t have any other seas to go off of, I feel like the Nimbus Sea has unusually bad weather.
- The Forest of Masts has been stewing for centuries
- The Veiling Storms have been going for probably equally as long if I had to guess
- Tidecliff Isle is a the ruins of a town surrounded by whirlpools
My theory is that Stormgale Kingdom came to prominence by basically ruining the weather of the Nimbus Sea. Any influence that could’ve come from Winterveil coming from the north getting blocked up by the Forest of Masts and the Veiling Storms kinda fucking up any navigation coming from the south.
The Veiling Storms also don’t feel particularly… natural? Regular thunderstorms have blue lightning while the Veiling strikes are yellow. Perhaps the previous storm curse user’s color was yellow lightning compared to Akeems purple.
Makrinaos not being in the storm could be related to the Seekers practicing in the area after finding it, with Cazal deciding to blow the storm off of Makrinaos to use it as a sort of hideout since no one else would be mad enough to go into the storm, until the Syndicate and other low lives found it magically cleared of storm and settled there.
Perhaps Tidecliff Isle was basically starved out by a Storm Curse user surrounding the island in whirlpool for not being loyal to Stormgale (or being Stormgale Loyalists if they died after Akeem took the curse)
