Iron staff is way better with it’s spear throw ability and does either equal or more damage then the thunder spear.

perhaps we’re not getting the full picture and maybe waping doesn’t balance weapons or some shit but last time I checked testers don’t really have a hierarchy or have departments

Also theres a reason Elius is a boss and has unique movesets that we won’t ever get, It just means he’s more unique than us (or rather the protagonist) in a way.
almost every boss has unique attacks that you cant use
except iris. iris is just a random mage npc with flare

Because she is a companion, she’s the same as us in a way, nothing special to offer other than progression. I mean I guess the protag has some sort of ‘power’ but other than that he’s just a person who forgot his memory with no background, a nobody if you will.
Testers have a job to test the game and provide input and changes to help balance the game. When the community tells you that a certain thing needs a buff and the tester replies “it’s just a spear. I don’t care” it clearly shows hypocrisy and it’s not an appropriate response coming from a position of power.

plus, everyone is aware release was rushed. why are you demanding uniqueness for things that didn’t even get time to be paid attention to

and i never cared about weapons enough to suggest changes for them. theres a reason we have a balance team, not everyone can make suggestions that make sense regarding balancing without prior knowledge

well ok i do find weapons to be the most interesting attack type due to the overall versatility
