people, who’s fear is the darkness, are not afraid that they are alone when lost in those darkest corners, their fear is that they are not alone
but it’s the complete opposite if you are in space

pretty sure the #1 fear in being in space without a ship is the fact your blood is going to explode and kill you
as long as you’re in a pressurised suit, that probably won’t happen
well then wouldn’t the #1 fear be running out of air
